he would still have to waive is nmc, which he does not want to do.

strange moves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DoubleADoubleK</b></div><div>Result of cap and bad timing, like everybody else, besides, we are way ahead of schedule. In a perfect world we could shed Smith, sell Strome & Kreiders cap to pick up a 2C & 1LD, but the reality is our great kid cupboard is still lacking depth. That lack of depth means a lack in trading chips and unfortunately we've been pushing the kids into the lineup too quickly.</div></div>
i agree, sadly the big extension to kreider seems like theyre committed but strome could be a good guy to move especially after the year he had

strange moves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KingLundqvist30</b></div><div>Rangers are fine. I’m actually happy no big moves were made. This year needs to be about developing our young guys. If we make the playoffs, great, if we miss, another chance at the lottery. Now when it comes to next season (2021-2022), that’s where we can start contending for the cup.</div></div>
i would hope that they make the playoffs this coming season because 21-22 seems like a big year

strange moves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NYR1983</b></div><div>13M in buyouts.... flat cap.... loads of youth that need to slowly be cycled into the line up due to bonuses and just needed a slow progression of “season and tweak” for the roster. Just because you can blow up a roster to rebuild in 1 season doesn’t mean you can build a cup contender in 1 season. If we sell the farm for a star player to hopefully win a cup in 2 years then we sure as hell better win because if we don’t it’ll be a 5 yr program to rebuild again. This would be completely idiotic so thank your lucky stars that JG isn’t doing this... Next season we will have loads of money to resign shesty to a decent bridge and none of the others will be big $ so there’s a chunk of change to address a need.</div></div>
i think its that point now where prospects can get moved now that the pool is full again not all of them are gonna crack the lineup

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>papishark</b></div><div>Well yeah you guys drafted number 2 then number 1. If they werent great you should be pissed</div></div>
exactly, the bigger concerns are gonna be with what other prospects are able to make an impact, looking like more and more of a need to compete for a cup if u look at the roster of the past few winners

i agree but given the limited salary they have, would not be too shocked if an offer like this or maybe a little higher gets him out of tampa

Easy Job
kuch puts the rangers in cap trouble to bring back everyone, pretty much undos the cap clearing moves they made, obviously would love kuch but rangers aren't giving up a prospect for an older player yet.

given the rangers cap, they wouldn't take on an extra 6 mill for the same role

no way the rangers would give up their top center and future top dman for matthews and a goalie they dont need, they already have too many goalies

Cirelli trade and Andersson returns
first the rangers wouldn't give up a young center they want to be in the top 6 to get another young center who isnt yet a top 6, miller is gonna be in the ahl to start the year and also if they trade for cirelli and have his RFA rights, why would they pay him 6.5?
