Kadri Out Eichel In
It's gonna cost COL more than that. Also, say goodbye to Landeskog if they make a move for him, and I can't see MacKinnon taking a hometown discount with everyone around him making more. Honestly I don't think Eichel is a good fit for this team.

DET nets Eichel EDM sheds Salary BUF rebuilds 3-team deal
No way Buffalo touches this with a 10 foot stick. They have to retain 6.5M in dead cap? Plus they only get a first this year and have to wait TWO years for another first?
Have to think if they're keeping 6.5M in dead cap that they would just keep skinner and trade Jack at his full cap and get WAYYYY more than this trade.
I think you had a good idea in principle but there needs to be a more immediate return for buffalo.

DET nets Eichel EDM sheds Salary BUF rebuilds 3-team deal
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>chrishabbo</b></div><div>**Forgot to add Michael Rasmussen in the deal. going to Buffalo from Detroit**
Buffalo gets a very solid return in the form of draft compensation for their disgruntled superstar, while shedding nearly $40m worth of Jeff Skinner's contract. They do retain a bit of salary and take on the final year of Koskinen's deal from Edmonton in order to maximize their return.
Edmonton sheds two albatross contracts and pays a rather steep, yet worthy price to create some cap space and get their superstar duo some help in an effort to compete right away.
Detroit surrenders a bit of draft capital and takes on some massive deals but, that nets them a generational Center that is in his prime and will help transition this Red Wings team into the future and back to respectability.</div></div>
The problem with this is BUF isn't going to retain any salary on Eichel. If he truly is a generational player as you state, the team bringing him on should have no issue taking on his full cap hit. There's also no point in retaining 50% on Skinner for the next 6 years, as his true value is around $4.5 and you might as well keep him. Finally, they need a few prospects / young players coming back in the Eichel trade. It's all well and good to get a bunch of picks, but you really have no idea how those are going to turn out.

Why would Buffalo trade for a defenseman that will be on waivers for them to grab for free before the season even starts? Never mind the craziness of adding an extra pick for no reason.

You should’ve just named this mock trade “Kevyn Adam’s Final Trade”, because it wouldn’t just be true, but it would also just speak for itself, y’know?

Pre-expansion trade
I think that if I made this exact trade, I would replace Fiala with Jordan Greenway. I feel as though the Wild are giving up too much in this trade, but Jordan Greenway in my opinion has less value than Fiala and sweetens the deal a bit more for the Wild. Along with that, the Wild might have trouble protecting Greenway at the expansion draft, so it would be better for the Wild to trade him than give him up for free.

I feel one of the 6 round picks is for eakin. Sold on that. Adams would be all over the rest. McNabb and carrier welcomed back with open arms. Sabres need toughness
Tuch is a stud. Some think Krebs is can't miss. Some late 1sts. But it's ok. Only thing missing is a sign and trade for Oscar dansk

Here's the problem:
Sam's gonna cost 7-8 mil as an RFA. That's 24 mil in contracts going out to Veg with only 14 coming back top BUF. Vegas only has 6mil in open space, so that puts them 4mil over with another 4 players left to sign to hit a 23 man roster.
The thought is solid, but Veg can't handle a trade of this magnitude.
And honestly, I think BUF gets a better bang for their buck splitting Eichel and Reinhart into separate trades.
Eakin and Miller can both be moved at the deadline next year to contenders looking for depth for picks / prospects.

Sorry man, this isn't even close to getting the deal done. A 3/4 goalie, a garbage prospect and 2 seconds? I think Reinhart would be a great fit in OTT, but they have to give up something substantial.....

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wagsnags</b></div><div>If Theodore can be looked at as a cap dump..... I do not think he is a cap dump I would be ecstatic to include Theodore in the overall deal. I will assume Mangler was being tongue in cheek with the idea but i am willing to give it a shot in a trade:
Eichel for Glass, Theodore, Fluery..... for Adams to take Fluery in the deal he would have to have a deal in place to move him on to another team while retaining salary)
The issue I am having is that I see Theodore as a big plus to the Sabres and I see Fluery as an albatross to the Sabres. I am not sure how Vegas management views those two players.</div></div>
I like glass alot over Krebs. Would u rather have tuch or Theodore if we could only get one?

I can't see Veg moving Theodore at all. That kid is gold and signed at a phenomenal price for 4 more years.
And don't pick Glass over Krebs......Krebs is (IMO) the much better player / prospect.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wagsnags</b></div><div>Your buddy needs to put the bottle down and go to bed.... There is no way that either team would move forward with this deal as other have posted previously.
Here is why GM Kevin Adams would not even entertain a discussion the players coming back do not fit into his overall game plan moving forward. Adams wants FUTURES for Eichel. He is smart enough to realize he has a roster that is a few years from competing. Adams does not want a 28 yo and 30 yo in return. Glass & Krebs would be the start of the discussion for Adams...... Draft Picks 2021 & 2022 1st Rounders.... so if Vegas has no interest in discussing those 4 elements as a footprint for a deal he moves on.
Do not get me wrong I am NOT saying all four elements have to be in the deal but those 4 pieces is what Adams will be sniffing.</div></div>
I agree, but they also need to take some kind of big cap hit from Vegas.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wagsnags</b></div><div>Well of course GM Adams pounces all over that I think he says DEAL when Tuch or Glass is the first thing out of the Vegas GM's mouth.
I may be wrong and usually am but I find Tuch and Samson very similar players so no reason to swap them IMO..... I am a huge fan of Samson's game and the fact he is not a whiner or complainer..... I would prefer that Adams not move him but instead keep him and make him your Captain and leader of the rebuild Part 72..... Though Cody Glass for Samson I would have to say YES straight up.</div></div>
I agree samson has more value then tuch. Even though both really good players and pretty equal. Almost like picking pominville over Stafford. Playing different styles. Tuch plays with size. Maybe we need size
