That Pittsburgh trade would be awful. I'd way rather have the pick and just sign a free agent goalie.

Also can't see us actually getting a first for Dubnyk and Donato, even if we retained half of Dubnyk's cap

Sharks aren't moving any 2020 picks. Particularly not for a one dimensional forward and a struggling goalie.

I think it's kind of hard to say rental Dub is worth a 1st at 34 years and declining stats. and Murray isn't worth a 1st.

People aren't being honest about the goalie market. They see names, they think...oh look at the market.
But those guys are all so old. The best bet on the market now not from a trade is Holtby at 31. And that depends on what the contract will look like.
You got guy there at 34+ years. No team is looking at them seriously as anything but a stop gap. But it's not like there will magically be better goalies there next year.
There won't be.

You can probably strike off a lot of names on the so called goalie market list as being A. too old, B. not capable of winning after all these years and nothing has changed. or C. backup level.

Any team wanting a young goalie who can win and has played well, is looking at Murray.

So many things here are wrong. Especially signing galchenyuk. He’ll be lucky for a 1 year 1m prove it deal.

Reports do say San Jose is going to do their Tampa 1st for dubnyk and a separate deal for donato. Which hey good for Minnesota for not getting fleeced.

But very little else here makes much sense, especially that Murray deal.

Sure, I’d do Hartman for a 4th. Could be good for protecting the kids, and I’d imagine him and Lemieux would reek havoc and create chaos for other teams.
