That Pittsburgh trade would be awful. I'd way rather have the pick and just sign a free agent goalie.

Also can't see us actually getting a first for Dubnyk and Donato, even if we retained half of Dubnyk's cap

Sharks aren't moving any 2020 picks. Particularly not for a one dimensional forward and a struggling goalie.

I think it's kind of hard to say rental Dub is worth a 1st at 34 years and declining stats. and Murray isn't worth a 1st.

People aren't being honest about the goalie market. They see names, they think...oh look at the market.
But those guys are all so old. The best bet on the market now not from a trade is Holtby at 31. And that depends on what the contract will look like.
You got guy there at 34+ years. No team is looking at them seriously as anything but a stop gap. But it's not like there will magically be better goalies there next year.
There won't be.

You can probably strike off a lot of names on the so called goalie market list as being A. too old, B. not capable of winning after all these years and nothing has changed. or C. backup level.

Any team wanting a young goalie who can win and has played well, is looking at Murray.

So many things here are wrong. Especially signing galchenyuk. He’ll be lucky for a 1 year 1m prove it deal.

Reports do say San Jose is going to do their Tampa 1st for dubnyk and a separate deal for donato. Which hey good for Minnesota for not getting fleeced.

But very little else here makes much sense, especially that Murray deal.

Sure, I’d do Hartman for a 4th. Could be good for protecting the kids, and I’d imagine him and Lemieux would reek havoc and create chaos for other teams.

Finally someone else sees this. Now that Lehner is off the market, it’s markstrom and Holtby. And Holtby is a huge risk. He has played worse than Murray the past 3 years and Murray has had to play behind JJ and Maatta, who according to people on this site are the absolute worst defenseman and nhl players to ever lace them up and should be ashamed of themselves. Everyone else on the market has done either equal to or worse than Murray last year and they are all old. If teams like Detroit and Ottawa aren’t bringing back Howard or Anderson, then they likely are looking at a guy like Murray rather than the stop gaps on the market.

No, they're not. Not at that ridiculous price.

Martin Jones is an .896 goalie signed for another 5 years. He has negative value. You’d have to pay a 1st to dump his contract at this rate. Devan Dubnyk is older, an .890 goalie playing in front of one of the most solid defensive teams in the league. Albeit he has only one year left. DUBNYK HAS NEGATIVE VALUE.

MIN fans agree Donato is worth a 2nd at most. Donatos value (a 2nd) minus Dubnyks negative value = a 3rd at very very very very very very most. A 1st for those two is just insane.

A late first for a starting goalie isn’t a ridiculous price lol.

Based on his numbers last year, we're not talking about a starting goaltender. Rebuilding teams don't typically trade away draft picks for average goalies. Especially when the market is full of FREE options.

And just so you understand; I wouldn't give you a flaming bag of dog sh*t for Matt Murray.

Ahhh yes, players lose all of their value due to 1 bad season playing behind an absolute anchor as a top pair defenseman half the season. It totally happens all the time 👍
Maybe you should try a different sport lol. Btw, your whole team is a flaming bag of dog sh*t 😂
