I agree with everyone that our first game sucked but I don’t want to over think it yet. Let me start with I fully expect us to suck and get a top 5 pick this year which we need so badly. My main argument is where is our size and our strength.
Toews - 6 foot 2 201 pounds
Dach - 6 foot 4 197 pounds
Nylander- 6 foot 2 192 pounds
Smith- 6 foot 2 208 pounds
Saad- 6 foot 1 201 pounds
Caggiula- 81 hits in 40 games never afraid to throw his weight

Our biggest forward is Strome at 6 foot 3 200 pounds
Only other forwards even at 200 pounds or close is Soderberg and Carpenter.

This team not only needs a strong vocal leader in the ice (Seabrook is basically an on ice coach to his team or Toews who you can always hear yelling when we used to be able to go to games)
We also need a big winger and fast wingers. I k or this will be a hugely unpopular opinion but who do we trade in order to get the draft capital or prospects to help fix this?

My thought is that if this season continues like this does Kane or Debrincat ask to leave ????? I like Strome but if we trade for another high end center prospect do we let him go to?


My lines and trade are not realistic it’s just an idea of what I would love to see happen if we decided to blow it up. I know the trades won’t happen don’t comment all day about that these are just some targets I like
