    I remember Cory Schneider for the 9th pick which turned into Horvat. I think 7th or 8th for Fiala straight up is fair as long as he comes with an extension through the trade. Getting Fiala would probably convince Giroux to sign

    I was looking back at 7th overall picks the past several years and it's a pretty good list of players. Last two years is too early to say (Eklund and Holtz), but the years before that were Cozens, Quinn Hughes, Lias Andersson, Keller, Provorov, Haydn Fleury, Nurse, Dumba, Scheifele, Skinner, and Kadri. I still think 7th overall and a good-not-great prospect (like Jarventie) is a fair deal
