Whether they can afford it or not, is irrelevant. They aren't taking on cap dumps, and yes, Gardland is a cap dump because the Knucks need cap space.

Yes the Hawks have a plethora of picks but they're not at the point of spending them on vets (Perry was an outlier because Richardson wanted him and a 7th was the price to acquire him). Like Chi and Soc stated above me, we view Garland as purely a cap dump. Yes he has value to the right team but we're not the right team right now.
