Don’t think you’re giving up enough for a third overall pick here. Montreal would trade it only if you had an impact player whether it’s hanifin, faulk, skinner, teravainen,etc.

Yeah, I gotta say Caniac, this isn't a very good proposal for the 3rd overall. The Klas Dahlback isn't getting any team excited. Here's a real life situation. I found myself wondering how long ago did Chicago trade him away? Went to his Wiki page...he's still wearing a Blackhawks jersey...and he was traded in 2014/2015. That's kinda how under the radar he's been.

Chicago takes that before before you can change your mind. However, way to low on the Montreal Trade. Probably have to add Hanafin to make it work.

That could certainly be the ask, but it would never happen. Hanifin is more valuable than Zadina. If last year was redrafted, Necas would be in the top 10. The 2nd is very high.

No He's not. Zadina is a top line goal scorer who is on a rookie contract.

Truth is no one knows what Zadina is yet. That is partially the intrigue behind drafting players. Could be another Peter Taticek, could be a David Pastrnak for all we know.

Getting any young player who is one of your better players for 3 years @ 925K a year is almost invaluable nowadays. But only because they are getting that player for free. If you have to pay a premium for that player than the value gets lost in the players you have to trade away to get them.

Hanifin is a 21 year old top 4 dman. He's proved the fact that he his. Zadina could well be a top line scorer, but he hasn't even played a game in the league yet. RNH was the next GOAT, but then he wasn't. Elias Lindholm was a 5th overall pick...this lineup has him playing on the 4th line. That's life.
