How far is it? This is just hypothetical of course

The way I see it is that avs lose a 100 point 22 year old. (There's no other way to put it) and in exchange get Goldobin potential top 6 winger
Juolevi potential top 4 D
Gaudette potential 2nd Center
Quinn Hughes potential top 2 D
2019 1st could be Jack hughes

But I agree it's a lot of ifs and buts for a 100 point center

this is such a bad attempt to trade for one of the top young 1Cs in the game, I wish I could give it negative stars

I hope, for Mac's sake, that he has a NTC or something to protect him from having to go to Vancouver...

You used the word potential a lot with the players going back to the Avalanche. We don't say MacKinnon is a "potential" 100 point scorer. That tells enough right there. ( yes i know he didnt hit the 100 mark but close enough and considering he missed 8 ganes).

Yea ik I stated if and buts and this being hypothetical. Tbh u guys r super lucky with MacKinnon the amount of power and elite skating he has is Aweosme. I was totally wishing he was gonna win the scoring title and I bet he could have of he was healthy.

Hahaha you are hurt that people think your MacKinnon trade is off the mark?

None of those are franchise players, MacK is a franchise 1C. Thats why the value is off
A bunch of Potential 2nd line and 2nd pairing prospects do not equal the value of the importance to have a top end franchise C. Its not that hard to see why the value isnt there.

You have to give QUALITY to get MacKinnon, and over paying on Quality in a Kings Ransom bc theAvs wouldnt move him, not quantity of could be ok to decent prospects

I don't think ever the avalanche do it, as they have no garuntees of good players, but at the same time I wouldn't do it from the canucks point of view, because if they all turn into their potential (mostly Juolevi and Hughes),then together they can easily become worth more than Mackinnon. If Hughes becomes the future Norris trophy winner he can be, Juolevi plays a strong 2 way game, and gaudette and Goldobin each score 20+ goals then Vancouver wins. If none of them hit their ceiling, or half of them bust, then obviously the Avalanche will be happy they didn't make the trade.

Quinn Hughes offensive potential can easily be like a Brian Leetch or Bobby Orr ("top end franchise defenseman."). Since we don't know if he'll bust or not reach his potential, Avalanche defintely say no.

Hughes could be great, same as Cale Makar who would be the exact same mold of Hughes. When the top piece in this proposal may not be even as good as something the Avs currently already have. Doesnt really move the needle for them.

The next quality piece is Juolevi and we all know about his story at the moment, who knows whats up wtih that kid...the video game addiction stories that they said were false, the going back to Europe from the CHL. Hes way too much of a wild card at the moment.

Goldobin and Gaudette if they hit all their potential could be tweener 2nd line players, but really would just be 3rd liners depending on the team.

Nothing there is cant miss for the Avs face of the Franchise

Only thing that might make this worthwhile is if the 2019 1st was Jack Hughes

you arent trading for MacKinnon and becoming a lottery team, especially if you didnt touch any young players from your NHL roster. He brought the Avs all the way to the playoffs last year

And if you are going to be a lottery team, you are trading for Nathan MacKinnon if you have a shot at Jack Hughes....so either which way you look at it, saying its a lottery pick isnt in reality.

Sorry dude, it was just a bad underwhelming trade and a bad rationale for one of the best young Cs in the game right now

You're smart dude I was hoping u weren't smart enough to see that. MacKinnon would def take canucks out of the basement. Kudos to u
