Agreed. Unpopular opinion but think PK isn’t worth the financial investment. Dougie is the type of player who fits in Carolina, PK is not. PK is past his ‘Norris’ window, and you’re carrying $9.5M for 3 years. Guarantee you’re looking to trade PK again next season.

Think you've wildly overpaid in the Nashville trade. Not sure if trading Kappy for Faulk helps the Leafs cap that much. But maybe if was one year Faulk retained, two seconds, a Dman prospect for Nylander.

Sorry to double up on comments;

Keep in mind that Dougie had 18 goals this past season. 15 of those came in the second half of the season. It’s now been confirmed he played the first half of the season with a displaced fracture (two places) on a right hand finger.

Don’t even want Faulk but would still obviously make that trade.

Toronto would be wise to make that trade. We'll be gracious -- keep the third.

Why did you overpay so much for Kapanen?

Likely, but they may want to negotiate a next contract with Faulk beforehand if they are giving up Kap. And would probably still need to make another move to be cap compliant.
