Good wild trade, overpayment in Tampa trade, and don't think sabres are willing to take on the zaitsev contract when we have Nelson to play that role already and much cheaper as well.

I wouldn't be happy if Fenton made that Wild trade. I don't hate Thompson and the pick (I don't necessarily love it either), but we'd have no room for Sheary on our roster.

Nelson is a ufa after this year and need a defensive RHD. Zaitsev could give dahlin and chance to run wild.

Sheary is a better all around player then zucker. And will easily make your top 9. And you have plenty of room for him.

Nelson isn't going to get a pay raise so we're good there. I don't like how that's every leafs fans argument. Like dahlin is good enough to let dahlin go crazy. Zaitsev isn't that top pairing shut down guy that make a difference.

Look, I like Sheary, but he's not a better player than Zucker. And no, we don't have room for him.

Parise - Staal - Fiala
Greenway - Koivu - Kunin
Donato - Eriksson Ek - Thompson
Foligno - Sturm/Rask - Brown/Mayhew

No room for Sheary, none of our young players should be in Iowa next year.

So you plan on Tanking?
If you want to be better then Sheary is on second line. He is better player in both ends then greenway. IT will also allow greenway to play against worst competition to build confidence. Sending a player to minors will only make them play better. Also, injuries happen and they will be up.

Not a leaf fan? I am sabres fan. Also, you would want Dahlin to be paired with defensive dman so he can rush the puck more. You pair him with Montour it will take away from him rushing the puck because montour will want to rush puck up. Dahlin will be great player but it will only make his life easier if he is paired with defensive Dman.

On Zatisev, who he is better in defensive zone then him on sabres? He is not a perfect player and that is why we can get him for free but he is a NHL dman with RH shot that can play shutdown defense.

Yes, actually, I do want us to tank. This team sucks, no way are we a contender, but that doesn't mean our young players shouldn't get NHL time. Again, Sheary is a fine player, but on a contender he's a 3rd liner. I understand that, but Greenway has proven he shouldn't be in the AHL. He scored 12 goals in his rookie season playing 3rd line minutes... That's really good for a non-superstar player. He lit up Iowa when he was sent down, scored a hat trick his first game. All of our young players have proven they deserve NHL minutes next year.

He hasn't that big of a shut down dman. Otherwise the leafs wouldn't be trying to trade him. That's what they are looking for

As a Sabres fan I like all of these moves. We may be over paying in the Tampa deal, but **** it, lets get the 2 young bucks and go for the whole effing thing. Where;s Botts, he needs to see this

Bad trade for Buffalo with Tampa and bad trade with Toronto. Stop handing out our players for nuts, while you take a dump and a player with a bad contract.

With the combination good luck of Tampa and bad luck of Buffalo, this is almost guaranteed to be a #1 overall pick.

Tampa accepts, But i doubt Tyler Johnson waive his full NTC from Sunny Florida to cold snowy brutal Buffalo. Tampa is still closer to the cup. Then Buffalo is.

They should plan on tanking.

There's no way Sheary is a better all round player then Zucker.

Zucker is a goal scorer and that is about it. Sheary can play defense and has played against other teams top line. Matt collar came on WGR this morning and even said Zucker is goal scorer and that is it. He is very one dimensional and good fro about 20-30 goals and nothing else.

Oh well if Matt Collar says so then it's gotta be true.. Lol
I think Buffalo could use Zucker's 20-30 goals more then Sheary's 30 points....

Yeah that is why i was trading for him? But Zucker only had 40 points so not much of difference. And you would get a pick and top prospect. Probably a over payment.
