I'd do that IN A HEARTBEAT for Gusev. I think more realistically, Vegas asks for a young waiver-exempt player from the Wild like Greenway, and even then I'd still do it.

i thought about greenway for him straight up, but i figured minnesota fans wouldnt want to give greenway up for him

I'd hate to trade Greenway period, but I'd do that trade. Gusev is exactly what we need: right shot, dynamic offensively, AND he has chemistry with one of the best prospects outside of the NHL, Kirill Kaprizov.

For the most part, these are super reasonable deals. Almost too reasonable haha. I feel like he will get slightly more from teams just because there will likely be a lot of GMs willing to trade for him if this is the ask

I'd do Nylander and Nelson for Gusev, theoretically...but I don't want any Russians in Buffalo.

The risk of them leaving for the KHL at any point is too much.

I'm glad Buffalo never risks that by drafting or signing Russians.
