Trade for Lindholm but actually fair

Created by: Devils8823
Team: 2019-20 New Jersey Devils
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 2, 2019
Published: Oct. 2, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Lets get this value as even as possible shall we? In Bratt Ducks get a new Top 6 winger, and Mueller to replace Lindholm (by replace I mean he can play defense somewhat). The first is an obvious add on, gotta give to get. Devils get Lindholm and open a spot in the middle 6 for Boqvist to play. This deal is honestly interchangeable with either Jesper it just depends on if the Ducks value a more known commodity or potential

No chance they trade him now, but maybe at the deadline if Anaheim is solidly in the running for Lafreniere. I suppose they'd prefer to move Fowler though of their LHD.

Still no, Lindholm is still young, they're building around him,and is on a STEAL of a deal for a while, and to take a quote from chel, the value just isn't there whatsoever, trading a middle 6 F and a first doesn't get a top ten RD in the league

Now I don't see the Ducks moving Lindholm as much as the next guy, but let's keep in mind Kadri netted Kerfoot AND Barrie with retained salary.

So given that, is ge that far off in terms of market value?

Woah, top ten RD in the league, well if I knew that what you were valuing him i would have offered more. While I dont think Lindholm is top ten in the league (top 20 is a somewhat more reasonable value), I think the real issue is what the fans want of this season. The west is wide open enough for the last WC that playoffs are possible but It may be time for Ducks to sell off and begin a new build around Rakell,Manson,Comtois. I’m also not saying this deal happens immediately, the vantanen-henrique deal didnt happen till November. I dont think the value is that far off, especially if the Ducks get leapfrogged by the yotes and canucks

Who are you comparing Lindholm to, Barrie or Kadri?

Let's remember that Barrie has 1 year left on his deal, and that (in all likelihood) the Leafs are going to lose one or both of he and Muzzin for nothing when the season is over, because they won't be able to afford him.

Kerfoot was a nice get (3C), but Kadri was an established 2C, and would have continued to be if he wasn't behind Tavares and Matthews. Colorado got what they needed, and Toronto got a year of what they needed.

Biiiiiig difference between trading for Kerfoot/Barrie vs. trading for Lindholm.

They'd probably take back Sami before MM.
They know him and he can play theeft side.
I agree it's not happening though

The avs also got Calle Rosen who is looking like hes going to be making the jump soon, and swapped out a 6th round for a 3rd. They upgraded from a 3C to a 2C, that costs marginally more, and gave up a D man they likely weren't re signing after this season.

Can't compare that trade with these kind of proposals. The Ducks will want a guy like hischier back for Lindholm.
