Don’t think so pal. Bouchard is better than brannstrom.

Okay....but he didn’t. Im not saying Yamamoto has the same value has brannstrom but it’s not like their numbers are all that different. Giving up a first to make up for the difference is probably fair.

As a rental ok, if Hall extend, they will want a top prospect

I’m just asking what makes brannstrom twice as valuable as Yamamoto. If you can make some good points you might be able to change my mind.

Yamamoto has top line potential. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s playing with mcdavid on the first line next year.

They have same potential. Totally different types of Dmen, but they are very similar in value. You undervalue Brannstrom greatly here.

Not sure how this is "the same". Vegas were Cup finalists the previous year and was expecting another Cup run. Oilers are still the Oilers despite their hot start. They probably won't be Cup contenders and what is Hall's motivation to sign with Oilers.

Brannstrom is small and not great at defending. His skills aren't elite. He'll never be a 1st pairing guy for these reasons.

I'm pretty sure the addition of Hall would be a major boost towards being a Cup contender. They already have the best 1st line in the league and one of the best PPs, they have a great goaltending tandem and a defense corps that's rounding into form, with 3 more top rated prospects still in the system.

A smart player would look at the Oilers and see a competitive team for the full 8 years he's signing for.

I think the value is fair as compared to the Stone trade.

Why would Hall want to play for EDM again? They dragged him through the mud on his way out and tried to put the lack of success on him.

Where you go in the first round or any round doesn’t matter. I can say hey you want Kyle beach; he went in the first round!!!

Bouchard definitely makes it closer as T said, you have to remember High end D men are very valuable. Whereas Yamamoto I’m a huge fan of isn’t like Cole Caufield; two very small talent guys but Yamamoto is gonna be middle six on most teams for atleast the first handful of years of his career; caufield looks like he needs to play against NHL quality goalies and defenders to not score 70 goals lol. The only reason he’d be first like on EDM is cause you have no wing depth whatsoever; just like the sharks we have a hole in our top 6 RW; we don’t wanna play goodrow there but we have too, doesn’t mean he’s a top 6 winger

I forgot the part of Vegas cap dumping a garbage player like gagner for stone? And branstrom’s worse will easily be yamamoto’s best.

Bouchard + 2nd is more comparable to the Stone trade
