Don't know why you have Ceci has the 7th Dman for the Sharks.. He's doing OK as Leaf regular . Leafs don't have to give up futures, a good winger just to trade Ceci, especially for a failing long term cap.

I just don’t think they need another offensive defensman IMO.

Toss up between him and Heed to me honestly, but Ceci could pair up with Dillon on the 2nd pairing too.

Can't see the Leafs paying that price for Burns even with the retention, would be a lot smarter to trade Kapenen for a 2nd and 4th and trade Ceci for a 5th and free up 7.2 million and spend assets to get a much younger RHD

His contract right now is looking bad and for a 34 year old, its not going to get better.

Leafs are already in cap hell, No way can they afford that Burns contract.

If the leafs were going to trade for a 34 year old defenseman with an atrocious contract - which they shouldn’t and aren’t - I’d vastly prefer Weber or suter to Burns

All leafs trades must start with two 1st rounders going their way at start.

lol. No one is gonna offer Sharks much of anything to take Burns off the Sharks hands. Teams have lot better ways to spend 8m long than Burns. Besides Burns and his virtual NMC ain't waiving.

Genuinely speaking I'm actually a big Leafs fan... travelled to go to a road game of theirs (not facing the Sharks) because I like their players and the city... had some family up in Hamilton so would travel there sometimes... think Tavares Matthew Marner Reilly Freddie Kapanen Johnsson Muzzin and Nylander are all pretty awesome... despise the Bruins...
