Umm, hell no. Lol.

Labanc = Heinen. Which = 3rd and prospect.

Studnicka will not be traded for anyone that is currently available.

Be better off just calling him up and putting him RW2 or C3.

Market was not set. TB overpaying slightly to keep Coleman from going to Boston.

Coleman’s 21 g and 166 hits was worth more than a soft middle 6 fw.

that's actually not a bad price for a young top 6 option on a cheap deal. He'l have to be re-signed but its still a good price

I do not think there is a word in the english language that accurately depicts how little interest the bruins have in that.

Also, i assume you’re going off the Coleman deal here. Well, here’s the issue.
1. Coleman is better.
2. Coleman is signed at 1.8 million through next year.
3. Studnicka>>>>Foote

You are way off on Labanc's value.

Lol, no Sharks fans are, 🤷🏻‍♂️

Labanc 14g 44 pts per 82. Career

Heinen 13 38 per 82.

Same age, same type of game.

1.Coleman is better in his own zone, but Labanc is just as good offensively if not better.
2. Labanc is 24, and will be an rfa and will likely sign for 4-5 years with you
3. Labanc makes 1mil right now and would allow you to further load up for a cup run
4.Vancouver first>>>Boston first. Foote is not much worse than Stud, they both have middle six ceilings.

Lol no, you are. You hop into every thread to complain about every deal that doesnt have boston winning in a landslide because you dont understand the rest of the leagues value wise.

Hardly, i complain about Boston getting hosed. IE the above offer. Or getting sent things they don’t want or need. IE Thornton.

Send us a 1st and Merkley for Heinen then if you think that’s fair. Your 1st and top prospect for a soft middle 6 wing same age and stats as Labanc.

I’ll respond to your points in order.
1. Labanc is not as good offensively as Coleman. Certainly not better. I know goals aren’t everything, but, c’mon. It’s kind of right there.
2. Yes, i am well aware of how old labanc and Coleman are. I am also well aware of Labanc’s status. I’m also well aware it’s going to take a heck of a lot more than 1.8 million to sign him.
3. I am well aware of Labanc’s cap hit. How exactly is that prorated 800K savings over Coleman going to put the bruins over the top?
4. Well, first off I find it the epitome of absurd—no, stupid, to put a “ceiling,” on prospects that haven’t had their first legal drink yet, at least not in the states. What did you think Labanc’s ceiling was when he was a 6th round pick coming off an 11 goal season in the OHL? We’re going to disagree about how Studnicka projects. I think he’s going to be a top line guy, there’s no point in arguing it. You’re going to say no, he isn’t that good, and I’m going to say, yes, he is. I have no interest in going back and forth like that. But my god, slapping a ceiling on a 19 and 20 year old, yikes.

Because im basing what im saying off what the pros say. I know you guys like to think of Stud as a future franchise player but according to the top guys he projects as a 2c type, very similar as foote

Lol says the guy who thinks Pasta is great defensively, Grizz is worth Krug $, Mac is the most important player to the org, and Heinen is a top 6er. LMAO.

Labanc and Heinen are same age, both play soft games, have similar career stats per 82. I’d certainly take Labanc over Heinen, but it’s not by a wide margin.

Just because Joe Sakic got the sun and the moon for Matt Duchene, doesn't mean Pierre Dorion and Marc Bergevin got way less for trading Mark Stone and Max Pacioretty respectively. (Both are better than Matt Duchene)

Ya, (first off, you didn’t use the term project, you used the term ceiling), so if it isn’t worth having opinions, and we should just trust what whatever guy at the athletic says taht looked him up on hockeydb one time, why are you here? It’s all right there. I think the athletic is like a dollar a month right? Then you have free stuff like bleacher report. That’s all you need to know. Not even sure why you would watch the games at this point. The script has been written, right?

All due respect to the, “pro’s,” who are mostly complete and utter garbage, but I’ll form my own opinions thanks.

not to get into the middle of this boston argument.
But you do Thornton so wrong.
He should be allowed to go anywhere he wants not be traded like a commodity.
That's the least SJS could do for him.

Why wouldn’t he want to go to Avs?

He’s never won a cup. This is his last season, Sharks are going nowhere. Avs at least have a shot.

The asking price is a joke but so is every trade on this AGM.

You are missing the point.
He should be able to choose. You know, going out on his own term.
I'm not saying he wouldn't go to this team or that. I'm saying just let him choose and go and be done with it don't expect a return on it.

the asking price is fine

i'm retaining as much as i can

a colorado avalanche news outlet (Mile High Hockey) said they thought it was a good deal to get Melker at the cost of Toronto's 2020 3rd round pick
https://www.milehighhockey.com/2020/2/2/21118996/the-avalanche-should-make-a-push-for-melker-karlsson-at-the-trade-deadline-rumors

and thornton would go for at least a 3rd, he's a future hall of famer who could fit it in really well as a 3rd line center for Colorado

if you put these 2 together i don't think it's that much of a stretch to get a 2nd round pick
