If this is what MTL expects, they're keeping him until he walks in free agency.

For a rental? Absolutely not. I agree with you that he is very good and underrated, but unless he signs an extension before being dealt, I think you need to lower your expectations.

I like the returns but I think it would be better to have wingers or dman prospect instead of centers

Mark Stone only got 1 good prospect and a 2nd and signed his extension less then a week after being trade (assuming extension was agreed before trade just had to iron out yearly breakdowns, etc). Danault is good but I don't think he is Mark Stone good. Meaning values above are high even for an extension

You don’t want him move on! That is what he would cost. You are allow to ask for a excessive return for Josh Manson but that can be allow for other players is that it?

Why would Montreal would have to Lowered their expectations! They have absolutely no intention of trading him or letting him walk to the UFA market, this is the only way a team will get him. Yes its a overvalue bit thatbis exactly what it will take to get him out of Montreal.

    Money

Try again! Montreal have plenty of space under the cap to extend Danault, Gallagher, Tatar and even Petry and they can offer them all 7 millions avv and still be under the cap. So unless Danault want over 8 millions in Money, something that won’t happen since he is a very Intelligent man he will stay in Montreal even if that mean taking a discount si ce he love the place and is wife want to stay in Québec

I didn't say MTL needed to lower their expectations, I said you did. I don't care whether they have any intention of trading him, you listed proposed trades, all of which are big over-payments, especially with no extension. I just pointed it out. Don't shoot the messenger.

Montreal will have cap problems, but that isn't the only problem. Danault might actually.... you know, make the playoffs.

And i just pointed out that this is what Montreal will take nothing less. This is what it will take for Bergevin to consider doiing it.

An appropriate saying for this is something about a device used to boil water, a pot and a certain colour. I'll let you put it together.

This makes no sense. You are saying you know the thoughts and intentions of Bergevin, whereas I said that the trades are over payments. 2 very different things. Mine is an opinion based on common knowledge values, whereas you are presenting something that is complete conjecture as a fact.

Wait, what? I don't think I've ever heard the saying you are referencing. What is it supposed to be?
