I think that’s good value yes. Maybe upgrade Malgin to Gouathier.and your good to go.

Coming in a little low on Cernak on a five year term IMO.

No interest in Ennis at all for that dollar value.

Interesting ideas otherwise.

Personally I think Anaheim would say no. If they are retaining that much and losing their captain I would think you may have to throw a couple of firsts in. As a Ducks fan it would be nice to see Getzlaf go somewhere where he could get another cup though

I did Ennis at that dollar value cause the term is only 1 year and I want to make sure he won't resign with Oilers

When you think about it your getting a skilled winger that is extremly fast and could play on your first line easily for many years to come and your also getting a 2nd round pick. Yes this is your captain but this is just a rental and he could resign with ducks after contending in Toronto if he wants. It's fair for both teams.

Where did you hear these rumors? Because Getzlaf himself said that he's not waiving his NMC. He loves it there in Anaheim and has no desire to leave.

It would have to be an enormous overpay for Anaheim to get rid of Getzy. Besides he said he wants to stay in Anaheim

I'd say upgrade Malgin to something better, especially since they're retaining half his cap.

All in all a solid outside the box idea that I hope never happens (you know with being a Habs fan and all).

if he came to become our 3c for the playoffs if we could somehow make it where we didnt need to move kapenan i would be fine with Getzlaf. Having Tavares, Matthews, Getzlaf, and Spezza as our 4 centers would be amazing.
