Hall X Eichel For fun

Created by: CatmanV
Team: 2020-21 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 5, 2020
Published: Jun. 5, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This is just A FOR FUN idea!
But hey it might make sense based on someone’s recent trade that many considered to be much closer than any other that they had seen and this might mend the gap for both teams.

The point here is: bruins sign Hall, which allows them to sorta be more reckless with the trade (replacing Kase with a much more valuable player in debrusk).

Even as I made it, cap space became an issue, but that’s why the bruins sign Hall to a one year deal at 7 mil (with the promise of playing with Eichel) then he is able to put up 100 points and earn an 11 million dollar deal instead of only 9 mil this offseason

That’s business baby

2.
BOS
  1. Jost, Tyson [RFA Rights]
COL
  1. Krejci, David
Additional Details:
Based on comments, nobody seemed to have an issue with this trade.
It’s makes sense too.
Avs get a good second line center that would resign with them because they aren’t, well Buffalo. Bruins get a solid top 6 prospect to be another big piece in the Eichel trade.
Avs then use can then let Kadri more comfortably play 3C where he is better suited anyway.
Win -Win
3.
BUF
  1. DeBrusk, Jake [RFA Rights]
  2. Jost, Tyson
  3. Ritchie, Nick
  4. Studnicka, Jack
  5. 2021 1st round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
Now, instead of two really big pieces and three medium pieces, you have three really big pieces (in studnicka, Jost, and Debrusk), and then Ritchie is still solid top 6 / middle 6 depth and still a top 6 potential guy with a 1st as well.

Buffalo gets an amazing return for a player who has expressed his desire to leave, and the bruins get their guy without killing themselves
4.
BOS
  1. 2020 2nd round pick (EDM)
DET
  1. Grzelcyk, Matt [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
So cap space would take an L, so Griz would need to go, but bruins will be fine.

I don't think hall would sign that low even though they would easily make it to the conference finals every year.
hall could just sign with COL and get paid more

But overall not to bad

Depleting the depth of the Bruins would be the wrong decision. I know its for fun but I wouldn't like this Bruins lineup. The star power upfront is unreal but I think this team struggles to win a cup.

It's a novel idea and I applaud how much thought you put into it, but I don't this will happen for a few reasons:

1.) Hall is a former Hart winner, so no matter how much he struggled this year, people are still going to pay him. It would be an awfully big risk to take to sign a 7 x 1 deal in hopes of a 100 point season. Injuries and lack of chemistry are potential drawbacks that could cause his value to drop again. Signing a 9 X 7 or whatever a team thinks he's worth this offseason is a much safer bet for him.

2.) I doubt Krug will sign for $7 Mil. If Jacob Trouba signs for $8 Mil I would think that his camp would use that at a minimum. I could be wrong, though. Maybe he takes a team-friendly discount? He'll probably sign after Pietrangelo so it will be interesting to see where his AAV comes in first.

3.) No way Buffalo does that trade. As I've found out through my feeble attempts to "trade for Eichel." You're going to need to do a lot better than that. Buffalo needs at least one elite center prospect. Jost has potential but I think his lack of production worries some teams as to how high his ceiling actually is.

Once again, I enjoyed hearing your thoughts on this! I also enjoyed the ending "That's business baby!"

Jost is 5'11"
Debrusk is 6'0"
Studnicka is 6'1"

I agree completely. For them to be BIG pieces, they would need to be at least 6'3" or over

This is the most creative Eichel trade scenario i’ve seen. Bravo - no sarcasm.

Replace Ritchie with Vaakanainen and its a start. Its a great package.

Vaakanainen and Studnicka are really as “elite prospect” as Boston can go.

laugh laugh First off Hall isn't taking no 1 x 7 offer, And Buffalo declines once again not enough quality for Jack Eichel. And why would Colorado even want David Krejci? He's aging and not what they need.

Dude,
You’re opinions on what are considered “big pieces” is astoundingly off base
DeBrusk is the best piece here, and that’s not even close
Gonna have to do WAY, WAY better

An Eichel trade to the Bruins would START w Pasta & McAvoy
yes, i said START.....

"three really big pieces (in studnicka, Jost, and Debrusk)," Jost is miles away from being a "Really big piece" he stinks. The only way Boston can get Eichel is if you offer him more money when his contract expires in 6 years

Also of those 6 accounts that likes your post, 5 of them have never commented or liked anything on a bruins or sabres post so maybe make less backups accounts next time lol

As has been said before, y’all could easily take a 1 year deal to increase his value for next year when the cap goes up (so research, then comment)

Colorado definitely needs a 2C, Kadri is good, but is only boarderline 2C / 3C so again research then comment

Thank you for being kind, doing research, and giving a suggestion (something that only guys like @McGruff @Silkysmooth42 and @Jesus are capable of doing apparently)

In saying that, it would seem that with Stud, debrusk, and Jost, giving up Urho also would be too much for it to be reasonable for the bruins to do.
This is the highest the bruins would go if it were to happen

I'm not interested in trading jack eichel, especially not for that nonsense.

Excellent and well thought out comment! Thank you for being kind, doing research, and giving ideas. (Again only a select few do)

1) this has been an issue I have been on both sides of. It’s risky, but it could also pay off with a 100 Oy season with Eichel and a 7 x 11 deal next year. Who knows, again just for fun

2) krugs discount was looking to be 6.5-7 so I went 7 for the hell of it. Obviously nobody really knows but I’m just guessing too

3) again buffalo guys will always overvalue him, unfortunately when a guy says he doesn’t like playing somewhere, that kills the value a bit. It likely doesn’t happen like I said, but IFFFF the bruins were to do it, this is it. No more or it wouldn’t be worth it for the bruins

Do research and see that it’s not “nonsense”
I am not gonna claim Kuhlman is as good because 1. He’s not 2. I’m not a bruins fan (and even they don’t overvalue their guys for the most part / as much as leafs, lightning, habs, sens fans)

Again, propose a trade because you think you are better at this, or accept that my trade was actually pretty good all things considered
