I was exaggerating a bit to make a point. I would say they have value approximately the same with Marner retained ~2 mil. Once Aho is added, Kerfoot or so would be added. But the point is as is, it's the worst Marner trade I've ever seen.

We don't have the cap. Pesce for Nylander works because it's not a mammoth increase. From 4 to ~7 is workable. From 4 to 11? Yeah no. Carolina also don't have the need. We have enough playmakers. Hell, we have Necas who may be a better version of Marner. His skating is certainly better.

This post is an embarrassment to any knowledgeable hockey fan. I find it so sad that you continue to prepare anti-Marner posts daily when everyone on CapFriendly knows you are in fact really a Penguins fan who is very jealous of Marner and the Leafs. Currently, Pesce is better than Jones, Klingberg & Weber. Although you could add guys like Fox, McAvoy & Marino instead.

I would say Pesce is not better than Weber, Klingburg and Jones. I would agree that Macavoy, Marino and Fox are better, as well as Letang and Dougthy.

Nope, his xGA and xGF is better than all three. Someone like MacKenzie Weegar I could understand the case for, but Makar after one year, a consistently overrated Ekblad and a dinosaur Weber are not better than the best DFD in hockey over the past 3 years.
