The Leafs defence is fine and you are forgetting that Rielly, Muzzen, Dermott and Ceci were injured for significant periods of time during the season and Babcock did a poor job running the team until he was fired.

I mean really Rielly and Muzzen is one thing. But Dermott and Ceci is addition by subtraction. But if you want to go out there with Ceci on the ice.....be my guest.

Dude... no one agrees with you lol. And what are you saying “in the future”. Your argument wasn’t for “in the future”. It was for right now. Maybe in Matthews later years of his career he contends for a selke. It happens to a lot of star players where they improve on their defensive game later in their careers. I’m saying at this point in time he’s not even top 10 best two way forwards.

I will take that as a compliment if you call me a homer as been a Leafs fan my entire life but really appreciate great hockey players even more. Matthews is a special, special, special hockey player and keeps pushing himself to be the absolute best player in the world. Do not think you are paying attention to how hard he is now coming back and playing defense as he wants to be known as the best 2 way center in the entire NHL.
