I don’t hate this. You could change the first for a second or third but that’s just me

I dont think its complete highway robbery but it is a little much. I think the Legare and a 1st is what we should expect if we are retaining 3M (note we arent in this trade) and if they are including Bjugstad back as a cap dump we should get something else. I think that something else probably isnt murray though.

Conditions based on a certain player resigning are going to be scrapped with the new CBA kicking in

Jarry at 1.2??? In what universe? Unless he ****s the bed in the playoffs he should be on at least 3 mil. Using Binnington at 4 as a comparable.

hawks fans just keep trying.
There is no way the penguins are making that massive over payment.

Fair should prob be more...although he’s got 60 career games and hasn’t won the cup like Binn...

LOL I’m very far from a Hawks fan...Saad is the best player in the trade and PIT has a small window left to try and win another cup w their core group...PIt would most likely lose either Murray or Jarry to SEA so might as well try and get something back

Binnington had fewer before the cup win, though that obviously got him some more leverage. If Pittsburgh's trading Murray, Jarry, and more importantly his agent know their plan is for him to be the starter though, he'll want to be compensated as such.

this dude isn't a hawks fan. I think this is an overpayment by Pittsburgh but its a lot closer than the 2nd round pick for Saad half retuned like you think he's worth. I've mentioned it so many times before. Saad will be PPG on Crosby's line and he will most likely resign with you guys. I would prefer we get Jarry and not Murray but that's just me, and the 1st in this deal should drop to a 2nd

Murray, Bjugstad, Legare, 1st for Saad

Obvious troll AGM.

Value wise...
Murray > Saad
Legare > Saad
1st > Saad

Rutherford counters with just Bjugstad for Saad and that mess of a $6M contract... then laughs and hangs up.

By the way... did you know that even though you spend nearly 1/3rd of your even strength time playing with a specific guy... you never play with them? Never. Never enough to get "Never" stated on its own. Almost 1/3rd your time... Never.

Did you now that even though someone consistently plays on a teams top 2 lines he never plays on a scoring line?

I mean PIT just traded a 1st, Addison and Galchenyuk for Jason Zucker so I'm not sure how this is an "absolute gross overpay"...Maybe didn't have to include Murray, but he's probably gone to Seattle anyways...Plus Addison is probably a better prospect than Legare at this stage so wanted one more piece to solidify...

Saad's 27 y/o and will most likely finish with over 1,000 games played + 500 points and multiple Stanley Cups...The 1st round pick will be a late one and Legare is a good looking prospect, but far from a slam dunk ...Saad only has one more year on $6 M so irrelevant...

Teams have a cap to be under during that one year of $6M, so extremely relevant.
