I think we can stop with the Marner for Jones. Jones proved in this series that he is a top defenseman in the NHL and teams just do not trade players like him. Marner had 1 point in the series and really did not look like a top forward.

At this point, no one can argue that he is without a top 10 d man in the world and honestly very close to top 5.

Quite a few guys. Don’t get me wrong he’s great, the fact that he is rhd is a thing that bumps him up. I mean he’s miles behind a guy like hedman.

If you break it down to just rhd then yeah he’s probably top 5 top.

Which is a good point, leafs pumped the jackets for 4 straight goals after werenski left. I think they play off each other well.
