Not the craziest ideas. Murray definitely not getting that 5.5M though, imho. Just can't see it after this last playoff run and season overall.

30 year old Andersen with one year left is not worth the 13th overall pick in a draft this deep

The Carolina trade is legitimately insane. 2nd round pick, maybe? An above average goalie rental doesn’t get you the 13th overall pick. Cmon.

Also i think engvall could be good. Why is everyone trading him?

I would put a decent amount of money that murray either gets a 1 year prove it deal from the pens (even though he has 2 stanley cups) or he gets 5.5+ on a longer term deal.

Canes keep the 13 overall pick and Toronto keeps there 30 year old goalie on an expiring contract.
