laugh laugh Andersen for Hamilton Leaf fans are about as bad as Hab fans on here.

Op does not represent Leafs fans. This is nuts. Dude was in Norris contention before the break...

CAR doesn’t want Andersen unless he can drive a Zamboni

I'll never stop laughing at pretty much every toronto roster having a trade of Johnsson to MN for a 2nd. I wonder if they'll ever realize that's not going to happen, ever

You're gonna need to add if you want Arizona to retain. I'd say that's approaching good value for Kuemper without retention.

It’s posts like this that make me scratch my head. It’s a good middle 6 winger (that can play lw or RW) for a 2nd round pick. Certainly nothing crazy about the trade. If it was impossible due to cap I get your response. If it were some sort of massive overpay I would understand as well.

Barring those two things I certainly wouldn’t think this move is impossible. Though as a leafs fan I would want to keep Johnsson.

It's up there with Leaf ACGMs trading Minnesota Holl despite them having Spurgeon, Dumba, Pateryn, Hunt, and Addison for RHD. Hey, Holl is from Minnesota so why wouldn't they want him at a position they're incredibly deep at!

Yeah, that deal doesn't work for Columbus either, just so you know. We don't need more middle-6 wingers. We need top-6 players, particularly a 2C. Our assets are better directed towards acquiring that.

It's not that he's a bad player - just the Wild have no place for him and a 2nd for him is in most of the toronto threads involving mn

A team with room in the top 6 for zuccarelo certainly has room for Johnsson....

I changed the original trade (Johnsson to MIN for a 2nd) to Johnsson being traded to CBJ for a 3rd. I feel that is more accurate and CBJ is a more likely buyer on him. The Carolina trade is strictly a pending UFA swap. If CAR cannot sign him they will want to get an asset in return instead of letting him walk. They need a long-term goalie solution and Andersen may solve that.

Columbus needs anything with a heartbeat that can score.

Even as a rental Hamilton brings in more. At least a 1st and a prospect.

I’ve said it a million times on here.... but again....

How integral of a piece is a 3rd round pick in getting a 2C? Are you looking to land victor Rask?

How did that work on Tampa?

Leafs came out and played poorly after the break, it certainly wasn’t a barn burner of a series.

It's not that I don't think the value is fair. But between needing that 2C AND needing to replenish the prospect pipeline, adding a middle-6 winger isn't as good a use of our assets. The only way it works is if we trade away other guys for futures, which I don't think is as likely.

I'm honestly just snarking. I know the Columbus offense needs a major shot in the arm. But Johnsson isn't likely the answer.
