Ottawa declines. Yes, they need to get to the floor but they can get rewarded by taking other teams cap dumps OR they can spend it on UFAs. They won't take players they don't need if they aren't getting rewarded.

I'm going off STL losing Petro. They'll need a stop gap to replace a RHD and a future to replace him. Wilde is going to be a a very good 2 way D man, has great size and can skate.

No idea where OTT is headed but if it's a young roster, they're going to want a good vet in Komarov to help in the locker room. I don't think they'll have to pay as much as people think.

Speaking from a fan base that has experienced what it’s like loosing ebs DONT DO THAT. I like ehlers but look at what ebs just did for you in the playoffs... Not really coming out ahead there

It’s funny you say that because a lot of isles fans despise eberle after this playoff run because he was snake bitten. Ebs is a great player , I wouldn’t trade him

I miss him sooooooo much in Edmonton. I feel he was the most costly mistake charelli made. He’s the type you’ll get upset with because he seemed invisible the entire game but look at box score and realize had a goal and two assists. He’s like a ghost out there. Has been among my favourite players for years

Eberle has an insanely high hockey IQ , it seems like he’s not engaged at times but he is very effective

I think Winnipeg would just keep Ehlers.
