Supposedly Rask might just retire if he's gonna get traded

Arizona is not going to retain on OEL.

Not very much value at all there for Laine

Rask has hinted he will retire if he is traded

Columbus will need more to downgrade from korpisalo to reimer will having to pay him more.

Carolina gets more robbed than what the refs did this year.

This may be the worst Carolina proposal I have seen on here and that is saying a lot with the Toronto ones.

I agree with all the trades but the Tuukka trade. Tuukka isn't going anywhere. Maybe add a first rounder for Laine as well.

Krug isn't signing for that offer, Arizona wont retain on Oliver Ekman-Larsson period. If traded Rask probably will just retire. And the Laine trade is a no go for Winnipeg.

Then they won’t move OEL.

They’re the one that wants to move him. The contract isn’t good. They’re going to have to retain. If they’re lucky only 20%

Retaining on a contract for 7 years is unheard of.

Just curious if Rask backing out of the bubble early had any affect on team chemistry, his status (other than his age), etc.

Pretty sure there’s a guy on Arizona who is in the last couple years of a contract that had seven years of retention on it.

If it did, I don't know why he'd even want to consider returning. If his teammates can't understand why he'd put his sick kid ahead of the team, I'd want nothing to do with them if I were him. I think anyone holding that decision against him is an absolute tool, and they probably were the people who already hated Tuukka anyway.

I fully endorse this statement.

The coyotes want to move him.
He says he’ll only go to two teams.
Both those teams are up against the cap.
His contract is bad.
Coyotes need to retain.

I didn't know he had a sick kid. Nicky Foligno stepped away several times around 3 years ago for a sick child. Totally understandable and righteous.

Zero interest from the Jets. Debrusk isn’t bad but we have no use for Clifton and don’t want Moore’s contract. Fredrick would bring a nice physical presence but is a B6 guy. Boston would need to add a big piece to get Laine.

Canes wouldn't trade Pesce for Rask straight up, let alone adding Reimer AND retaining half od Pesce salary.
