I do agree that Allen becomes appealing for Seattle. Hopefully, they take the bait and Bergy keeps his depth elsewhere.
Cap will be thight next year. I wonder if Bergy isn't spending to leave juuuuust enough to sign Danault and Gally to his determined amount (12M total IMO) .
Lindgren is a UFA, although McNiven can be exposed as an RFA.
You might want to check the numbers on that one....not too mention 800k for an ahl bound goalie
Regardless where he ends up, Toronto is always in need of goalies when one of theirs goes down every season. And that Allen contract is a huge overpayment.

yes but if you think about it would Seattle have taken Lindgren no. Allen is a better target and has proven he is still a capable goalie. This way seattle is going to chose Allen over one of the forwards or Dman.
Bergevin buttered us up with the Toffoli signing so we wouldn't be mad. It didn't work. PRIMEAU! CAP SPACE!
IDK what’s happening. I’m not upset at this, but why do this right now? Wouldn’t it be better to see the market next year and see if Primeau makes the jump in the upcoming season?

Rantta, Rittich, Reimer, Francouz, Korposalo, Khudobin, Rinne, Fleury, Crawford, Nilsson, Campbell, Holtby... should I keep going or is that enough to satisfy your stupid comment

Alright, now what about all of these goalies make them better than Allen?
I doubt it. One of our defensemen would be a better choice for Seattle. Plus they’ll have a tonne of goalies to choose from.
He probably won't be selected, but some goalies will and these teams will be in need for a new one. So they can trade him. The contracts seems ok, it's short term and reasonable AAV. Easy to trade.
Primeau will be ready? Didn't know you KNEW the projection of players. Regardless, Allen is a very good backup in the meantime
**** off. He is ready already and is getting held back for literally no good reason. Allen is a fine backup but costs too much compared to other guys. I am fine with spending that $ on a backup but the value to dollar is horrible compared to someone like per say greiss
