May be an unpopular opinion, but I think Pettersson has already passed Barkov and could easily slot in the third tier, if not the 2nd

You could be right. Just given how awful Philly has been up until the back half of this past season id leave him there for now.

He’s got a good point. Look what Bergeron has accomplished in his career. And to this day is outstanding.

im not saying better in terms of point production but i would rather have a player that can score and play defense then a player that can just score

My argument above is garbage. You’re right. He is at least a 3.

Bergeron is a tier too high. Other than that, I agree with the rest

But take away Marchand and Pastrnak and he won't be as successful -- he gets carried offensively by those two players. He's a fantastic center, but he's not in the same league as the tier 1 guys.

Not saying he’s not good, tier 2 for sure but comparing him to 2 generational players and someone at the borderline but still more valuable then them (cap hit).... just can’t see it

I gotta disagree with this one. I hate the Bruins with a passion. But take away Bergeron and Pasta and Marchand are not as good.

Dude, Bergeron isn’t even a tier 2 centre let alone tier 1...

Bergerons career is so interesting. He’s always been pretty average offensively until Pasta / Marchand really broke out.

I love O'Reilly and think he's great, but I'd put every center currently in the tier 3 ahead of him. So I guess for me he's borderline tier 3/4

Exactly!! Look at his numbers before those players broke out. He was a 50-60 point defensive C for most of his career. Still an excellent player but definitely not #1 tier worthy

Meh at best? Sid is among the best 200 foot centres in the league...
