USA won that kinda sucks

Description
Last night I watched my first game of the WJC. I was very disappointed. As much as I hate to admit it (I’m a Canadian) USA was the better team. Here are 3 players that were really good for them:

3: Alex Turcotte. He scored a goal. He was a big scoring threat for that team.

2: As much as I hate to admit it, he was the better goalie. He’s going to be Florida’s starter.

1: Zegras. I don’t even need to say more.

3 Canadian players now.

3: Bowen Byram was good as an offensive defence man for Canada, but struggled defensively.

2: Levi was a good goalie too. He got a record for sv%!

1: He didn’t do well in the final game, but he lead them in scoring. He was their best player.

Side note, Hivronen scored the winning goal for Finland in the game vs Sweden! Also, Neimala was the top dman of the tournament. That a good sign for the leafs.

Nothing against tourigny but the gold medal game definitely came down to coaching. US did a great job at parking the bus against a very talented Canadian offense with a little help from Knight.

Only thing that counts is the puck in the back of the net. What ifs are for sore losers.

Yeah Canada was kept peripheral so much. Quality of shots just wasn't there. Great defending by the US, doing what Canada had done to other teams all tournament to that point.

That true, but they still didn't score. They should have considering their forward group.

It pains me to say it being a proud canadian, but USA was the better team out there.

@Saskleaf Canada is still a great team here but the US has been on a clear mission since lose to Russia. Zegras and Knight we're unstoppable. I wouldn't sweat it too much but the US has won the last 4 gold medal games against Canada, always as the underdog with little pressure while Canada always has immense pressure to win it all. Just couldn't beat Knight and the US played excellent team defense. Helps that Canada couldnt shut down Zegras and the US top line. Zegras will be a star for a long time and I hate that my Sharks will be against him for years to come frown
