If CBJ is out, I do this if I'm CBJ.

It hurts because they need guys to lead in the locker room. But the team is taking a different direction clearly. So I'd pull the trigger.

Value seems to be there seeing as he has the extra year on his contract. Who knows if CBJ accepts though.

I get what you're thinking here but does he fit? I'm just not convinced the Leafs need to add any pieces right now. Sure there are lots of potential players that on paper make them better, but after watching them last night. Like they just seem to be getting better. Lot's of discussion on here about Leafs depth players being junk but man that 4th line was amazing last night. Petan playing his first game and that pass he floated to Spezza for his first goal was an absolute beauty of a pass.

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the team I just think there are always ways to improve. I'm looking for our version of the Coleman acquisition

I've admired Jenner's play for years. He can literally play anywhere in the lineup. Grit, defensively sound, crashes the net, and will help clear the net in front. Torts knows the value he has in him, that is why he plays solid minutes all the time. Any team would be luck to have him. Also only 27 yrs old.

There are many things I appreciate Keefe over Babcock but rotating the depth in and not being afraid to change up the lineup is a beautiful thing to watch. We’d see 30 plus games without a single lineup change with Babs, it’s great seeing the internal competition bringing out the best in the Leafs. And now look, we finally have a very good looking 4th line. Maybe this makes Engvall step up he’s game to take out Petan. I do believe they look to make a trade at the deadline. IMO they look to move Kerfoot. I know there is a lot of love for him but way too many penalties. Still doesn’t look comfortable out there. When Thornton is healthy would rather see him on the 3rd line C.

Look no further we have Jason Spezza circa 2007!

Only problem would be that we would lose one of him and holl in expansion.

For a few years now I wished the Leafs would get a tough, hard working 3rd liner like Jenner, M. Foligno or Lowry...with Lowry being my prefered choice as he was in the other division.

Kadri was great but a little overpriced for a 3rd liner and I have read reports that the Leafs had problems on and off the ice with him although I can only speculate that the off ice issues were similar to Kapanen's...who incidentally got traded too.

I don’t think trading 2 seconds and like a 3rd to acquire a player then trading another 2nd+ for them to take kerfoot is good asset management.

I don't know Abramov well enough to evaluate if he's good enough to justify that for the Jackets. That's really what it'd come down to - how likely it is Abramov will be in a position to help us with our top-6 center woes and how soon. Jenner's actually been doing much better since we switched him back to wing, so there's less appetite to move him than there may have been previously. Between that and The Traitor screwing us over...
