Leafs had 6th best team goals against average coming into the night. 23 minutes of bad hockey doesn't define a team. Freddy was shaky. Never got a feel for the game. He's always best when he gets action early on to get him into the game, sucked that he didn't get shots in the 1st to get into the game. But hey, they're 1st in the league for a reason and the 16th game of the season never decided anything anyways. 1 game doesn't define a team, they've been good defensively all season. The division is so bad they shouldn’t lose more than two in a row all season. That said, giving up five unanswered to the senators in 25 minutes should be grounds for re-examine how the leafs take care of their own zone.

I’ve said this from the beginning, and it’s not like I hate JT, but everywhere he’s been they just can’t win... he’s not a winner, and as soon as he left NY, they started to win... I don’t think that’s a coincidence. I think they just have a really poor team structure with their contracts, and they have no forward depth.

World juniors team was stacked, WCOH team was stacked... like you said it’s a team game. While yes it’s hard to win, he hasn’t done much of it at the NHL level. I never said he’s a cancer, or causes teams to lose. All I said was that he’s not a winner at the NHL level like a lot of players. The leafs are made up of a bunch of people who aren’t winners, besides some vets with some experience. You literally picked one part of my comment and stuck with it LOL.
