Avs need to be shedding a contract like Compher's in the offseason, not accentuating it by trading him for a player with a higher caphit. So Avs probably wouldn't accept this trade.

In a vacuum though Avs would accept this trade.

easy decline for the avs, compher has been bad but zucker has been just as bad and at his cap hit, why take the older more expensive player that isnt any better

The first trade seems inadvisable. The rest seem overly optimistic.

By "vacuum", I actually mean a vacuum. Forget their caphits, or what our team looks like. Zucker is a better player than Compher, in a vacuum.

As I said though, Avs wouldn't accept this trade in real life.

I think Zucker is a lot better than his stats show this year. He is definitely more of a third wheel player. He's not really going to drive play or make any fancy plays, but he works his tail off and plays hard. He should be an excellent complimentary piece to a star center's line, but Malkin has not played like a star this year. Pens need to shuffle their line and put Zucker on the top line to play with Sid. Either way, I'm not advocating the trade, I just think Zucker is better than what he's getting credit for.

Why does FLA accept a trade where the main part coming their way has stated he'd play in Russia first?

6 years at 10 mil vs 2 years at 9.5 mil, bob is not good and malkin is still fine

9.5x2 for a guy playing in the Khl Bill Zito isn't on worried listing his job to you. Malkin has said he'll play for Pittsburgh or in the KHL
