its not about suzuki its about getting eichel who is a number 1 franchise center already. Montreal window to win is right now with those **** contracts of price and weber so getting eichel over suzuki is a major upgrade. I also don't thnk suzuki is ever gonna be on the level of eichel so on the long term i would make this deal if i am mtl.

Sabres dont need D prospects as bad as they need forward prospects, if their trading their franchise center they need to address their needs. Byron is a bottom 6 forward and Tatar probably leaves so theyre still going to want a forward prospect
