I don’t think they would, even with it being 1 for 1. Kaprisov has shown every bit he is going to be one of the better players in the league. I know his sample size is small but he has been the best player on the ice for every game I’ve watched.

Yes I don’t watch Eichel a whole lot. But no way you trade Kaprisov for any package at this point.

Totally agree. That’s the point of this post. Just seen enough Eichel to MN trades where they want Kaprisov +. He is as untouchable as anyone in the league right now.

It's more than just a player for player thing, both are very good players and the same age. One in on an ELC and the other is a $10m x 5+ contract; which makes a huge difference. In just a player for player vacuum Eichel > Kaprizov, the center vs wing and prior NHL play history that an easy call.

The Wild have never had a player like Kaprizov (or Eichel for that matter) and the fanbase has been waiting for a few years to see him. He's untouchable simply because any trade involving him would be a franchise altering deal (and a very mad fanbase).

Oh come on... he's a rookie. Eichel is a franchise top line centre. I'm sure Kaprizov is good but this is surely an overreaction

Nope. Eichel is a franchise center, but Kaprizov has a chance to be a Top 5-10 player in the league once they put some talent around him. And for Eichel, they put talent around him and it is failing miserably. It makes you wonder how much of a leader he is when they have sunk to the level that they have this year. Trust me, I'd love Eichel on my team but as many of the NHL experts have said, the price continues to come down by the day and Eichel/Buffalo aren't making it any easier for themselves.
