I doubt they are shopping Wood, but would be available. Here is what NJD needs

#1 D-man: NJD Devils need, more than anything, a young top-4 d-man
RHD prospect: Subban done after 1 year and someone who would be ready to replace him in top-4 in 2022 (ideally puck-moving two-way guy)
RW short-term: Not a huge need, but until Holtz, Mercer are ready, need a right-shot middle six forward

I like Wood and we really need this type of player, but I don’t know I would have traded Jokiharju for him, he definitely has top 4 potential, but this season he struggled, although we have the whole team struggle. Also in Rochester we have an interesting prospect RDs Laaksonen. Thompson+ could try too.

Bruins, Sabres and Avalanche deals are realistic, but the rest are either so random (Leafs) or one-sided (Oilers), they are hard to see.

Great still a no from Boston. Last year Boston offered 1st + Heinen or 2nd + Bjork for Palms. Can't seem them upping the offer w/ 1yr less on the contract unless they feel like Palms is the missing piece. Boston has a slew of LHD so Murray doesn't seem like a guy that has much value to Boston.

From a pens fan, no way do we give up a second or Poulin for Gusev. He would be a nice fit but a 3rd should be fine for him.
