All these comments just show how overrated Mantha really is LOL.

MP+ for Mantha is a good deal for both teams. Remove Ryan from that deal, since Detroit can flip him elsewhere

Marcus Petterson is a bottom pair Defensemen who's expensive...

Yeah right. He’s a young top 4 D signed to a very fair deal. Keep hating. The only reason he’s involved in trade proposals is because pens are loaded at LHD and need to trade from a position of strength to improve the forwards as they aren’t moving their 2022 first

I'll take that as a green light to keep hating.
He's a bottom six expensive dman signed to a long term deal. Your best bet is Chicago who's open to taking on bad contracts.

Maybe Watch some hockey and then come talk. You could clearly learn a lot. Anyone calling MP a “bad” contract doesn’t know anything that they’re talking about. No point wasting my time talking to someone uneducated

I don't believe McCann is worth a million dollars MORE than Tierney.

You haven’t provided any sort of evidence to support your claim. Why do you think MP is worth his 4.025M x 4 years? Who would you use as a comp to determine proper worth? I personally see a stay at home 4D. Can he improve? Sure.

His advanced stats last year were very good, this year he’s struggling a bit but he’s battled with some injuries, I’m expecting him to return to form to end the season. he is smart with the puck and can skate. Pens wouldn’t trade him if it weren’t for them being loaded at LHD and needing to improve their forward group

I don’t doubt he had good analytics last year but so did Jon Merrill & Troy Stetcher. You put those guys on our squad and look at their analytics now it’s a horror story. I’m not saying he isn’t a good stay at home guy and can regain form to last year but there is a risk there and I also don’t see offensive upside. My point being, he currently doesn’t have a great contract if he doesn’t regain form and if he does then it’s an average deal in my mind since he’s a second pairing guy. I think he actually would play pretty well with Hronek but he will go through some pains here until/if Seider develops into that top pairing RD spot (hopefully). I have a ton of confidence in Johansson (LD) coming over too and being able to play a second pairing role effectively in a year or so. If McIsaac can stay healthy he fits a gritty stay at home mold second pairing LD also but needs a little more time. So with MP I see redundancy compared to those two so I’d try to aim for a guy I think could potentially be a top pairing guy. Do we get that with Bert or Mo, probably not but maybe a higher draft pick or just signing a stop gap LD like Hammer until our guys develop (hopefully Power or Hughes).

As of this moment Marcus Pettersson ranks 161th in the league among Dmen for Ice time. That's not Top 4 Minutes.

He's a bottom Pair Guy. An expensive one signed long term at that. Not interested in giving up a talented forward and being handcuffed by his contract. No matter how offended you get and how many insults you throw at me.
