Oilers decline rather JJ in the line up since he turned his game around from the start of the season he brings more flexibility and use in different situations big part of pk and physical presence while making smart safe plays.

i'm an avs fan too , i woud like him on the 4th line/ depth player.

Carter is also a RW, Edmonton has at least 5 of those right now. They aren't giving up that haul for an old guy on a bad contract just so he can sit in the press box.

hes not a 4th line depth player though. He needs top 6 minutes to get what he brings to the table, offense. he cant play C and can play defense. In a bottom 6 role, its not suited for him.

I'd love to make those Colorado and Edmonton trades, but I doubt Sakic or Holland would.

Biggest problem with AA would be affording to re-sign him unless we're letting Saad go next year. Then he might make sense in an AA-NK-AB second line.

If the Kings were sellers, the first 2 make sense. The last 3 wouldn’t. We might lose Quick to expansion, but he’s worth more to the Kings than what they could get for him. He would also be the goalie that could qualify exposure requirements. Carter would retire if we traded him which means we get cap recapture penalties when he only has one more year after this. We need Maata as he would meet expansion exposure requirements also.
