Value for Debrusk

Created by: beantownboy17
Team: 2021-22 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 16, 2021
Published: Apr. 16, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
What kind of trade will they attempt with DeBrusk? They may hold onto him but who knows. What's a comp?
Trades
1.
BOS
  1. Klefbom, Oscar
Additional Details:
Oilers get depth scoring they always seem to need at a decent price with RFA rights. Throw in a pick for the cap hit DeBrusk has after a questionable year.
EDM
  1. DeBrusk, Jake
  2. 2022 4th round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
A solid left defense with size who doesn't have to play top shutdown or offensive minutes thanks to the strengths the Bruins D has now.
2.
BOS
  1. Grans, Helge [Reserve List]
  2. 2021 3rd round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
Kings get a guy who can slot in up and down the left side, and one who particularly would work well with Kopitars playstyle.
LAK
    DeBrusk
Bruins tap into the ample farm system of the Kings and get a D prospect they can sit on for a couple years.
    3.
    BOS
    1. Zaar, Daniel [Reserve List]
    2. 2021 1st round pick (CBJ)
    Additional Details:
Columbus gets youth on their weak side (Laine is no lock) and with a first round pick swap, doesn't lose out on quite as much.
    CBJ
    1. 2021 1st round pick (BOS)
    Additional Details:
Bruins get a filler player in Zaar and get to move up in the draft so they can secure what they need arguably most: talent at center (personally, I like McTavish)

The Kings are looking to acquire young defensive players in exchange for one or more of their many forward prospects. I don't see them offloading a guy like Grans for a winger.

I don’t see the kings trading grans or faber any time soon. Deal is fair i think though

That Jackets pick is likely top 10, zero chance they even consider trading down 20 spots for DeBrusk

DeBrusk to NYI for Nick Leddy and a 4th

Similar to the EDM trade you proposed, only switch the picks and Boston gets a player who has actually played/been effective this season

The guy that has shown the 30 goal potential is more valuable to the bruins than the lowball offers they would receive.

No? Leddy and Klefbom are pretty similar players when you get right down to it and one is on pace for a 45-50 point season (over 82 games) and the other hasn’t played since last August because of surgery to treat chronic shoulder injuries. I know who I’d rather have.

If you don’t like the EDM trade, that’s one thing valuewise, they’re pretty similar imo

    Age is a factor.

I don’t like any of the trades. I don’t like the concept of trading him. It’s selling low. I don’t think the bruins have had any trade talks about debrusk
