I mean you're also getting picks 63 and around 100 thats around a 2nd in value right there, georgiev is another 2nd in value, same with gauthier

Seems like an overpay on the contract extension. $7 mil for someone who's had one season above 60 points (74 in 2018-2019) and I'd rather just extend Strome who'd be cheaper than $7 mil by at least a mil.

I've said this many, many times before but there's literally no scenario where the Sharks are trading Hertl for quantity > quality.

We want good picks and high end prospects, not downgraded roster players and a couple mid round picks. That does absolutely nothing to help us.

We do. I don’t think you realize that he took the stride of driving play independently unlike last year.

Ryan Strome only goes for a 2nd + B- prospect if someone was just renting him for three months. And even then Kevin Hayes netted a 1st and Lemieux

neither will ziba. but 2 fringe 1Cs are better then a true 1C and a 3C (ie Ziba&Hertl vs Mackinnion&Tierney) THOSE ARE JUST EXAMPLES

Looking at his age and contract Im actually against it. Hes 32 and signed for 6 more years
