A. Buffalo would be insane to take that for Eichel.
B. Detroit still isn't interested.

For those that might be confused by my answer. I love Seider, but Eichel is worth WAY more than that, if healthy. With that said, Detroit is in no place to be trading for a player like Eichel right now and until his neck situation is sorted, any team would be crazy to take him on.

Your fellow Sabre adherents routinely turn down Alex Turcotte, a middle-6 roster player like Jaret Anderson-Dolan or Alex Wagner, a LD prospect like Kale Clague and the 8th overall pick in this year's draft for Eichel.

Many of the deals I see would give Buffalo a log jam in bottom six forwards or third pair defense men - it's like having a 80K sports or luxury car and someone offering you 8 10K Toyotas - the value is fair but it doesn't seem very enjoyable - I thought maybe it would be better to get 1 high end piece even if you lose on total value.

If he'll play again, definitely. I've read some reports that there is some risk of the injury being career ending.

I was referring to the Eichel and Reinhart trades you are practically giving them away.

Sabres must've hired Peter Chiarelli to be the GM.

That's just CFACGM. Every defenseman to Winnipeg and every Cap dump to Detroit.

Winnipeg is going to employ the seldom used 2-3 formation next season and show everyone! 8 forwards, 10 defensemen dressed every night!

While many of the prospects fans go nuts about are actually going to be bottom six forwards and third pair D-men, Seider is one of the few prospects the sites I follow say are worthy of the hype, a good first pairing RD, which after a franchise center the hardest maybe the hardest thing to find.

This is if the Pegula's are trying to dump the franchise off to someone in Quebec

Winnipeg says no. Stanley is at least equal to Ristolainen skill wise and is younger and cheaper.

It's not a big deal at all Dekeyser just had a similar surgery where they fused 2 of his vertebrae together. The disagreement is Eichel wants disk replacement surgery instead of spinal fusion. After reading up on both I would want the replacement surgery.

From everything I've read, it's WAY riskier in the neck vertebrae and the injury itself can be trickier too...

Each clip is less than 2min. It's an overview or both procedures if you don't want to watch it I understand. But it they are very similar.

Disk Replacement

Trading Seider for Eichel would put the Wings in mediocrity at best. Terrible defense but a decent Top 6 forward core. No thanks, Detroit would be better off being terrible and building through high draft picks.

This year Doug Hamilton is a UFA last year Pietrangelo was an UFA, when was the last time you saw a high quality young center as a UFA ? the only team I can think of that is a legit cup contender without a high level center is the Golden knights.

I never said the Wings would find a quality young center in free agency...? Yzerman has said multiple times that they are building through the draft, and the Wings would be best off drafting and developing a center rather than trading for one.
Besides, Seider is Detroit's best D prospect. Trading a high quality D prospect for a high quality center now doesn't make Detroit good enough to reach the playoffs, let alone go on a deep run. They need talent everywhere. What you're proposing is creating a roster hole to plug another one.
Also, Hamilton and Petro are both either due to exit or have already exited their prime. They wouldn't help a team as deep in a rebuild as Detroit is, so I don't see what point you are trying to make.

You are going to draft and develop a center ? Buf, Ana, Sea, Van, and SJ all might be below you - as for prime D-men develop a little later in general they also play well longer in general.

There's enough holes in Detroit's roster, they're going to be bad for awhile. They aren't turning around after one more high draft pick, especially in a draft that's not big on centers in the first place. By the time the Wings have a good center prospect or two coming up, Seider and a couple other D prospects will probably be ready for bigger responsibilities.
