Avs fans were using soooo much excuses last year. First it was the refs which we had like 20 more PIM than them, after that it was the injuries, Hutch was their best goalie that series (I know it sounds weird, but it’s true), also Seguin was playing with about 2-3 different injuries, and lastly it wad because Dallas was dirty, Dallas isn’t a dirty team (sometimes they’re, but most if the time they’re not). If you can’t handle a gritty team than you aren’t build for playoff hockey.

I only have Tampa remaining, they were my cup choice.

Yeah if you go look at the leaderboard on the NHL site, there is no way these people actually thought this scenario would happen. I know some people who just make a bunch of random brackets and one of them gets lucky.

I had Tampa over Canes because if they win my bracket is good, but if they lose all those f*ckers in the Tampa subreddit can finally STFU. I mean both the Avs and Lighting subreddit's are complete salt mines.

Pretty much, except every time I do a random bracket I always get like 1 or maybe 2 on a good day right.

Only ones I got on my main bracket were: Cane over Preds, Islanders over Penguins, Bruins over Capitals, Avs over Blues, Knights over Wild, and Islanders over Bruins in round 2. The only one where I got the amount of games correct was Avs over Blues (I predicted a sweep). I guess 5/8 wasn't as bad as some got, but still not great.

The 1st time since 1991/1992 that 3 of the 4 teams that made it to the semi-finals were back a year later (Boston, Edmonton, Pittsburgh).

I got the number of games right on Vegas/Minny. So I got pretty much the same number as you.

And the 1991 Stars made the finals and didn't the next year, pretty much the same scenario here. And the team that didn't make the final four the previous year went to the finals which was Chicago, maybe Montreal who knows?

Not really, no. The important part is winning. It doesn't matter who on your team scores.

For the leafs, the depth performed well, but they lost a really, really close series.

For the avs, the stars performed well and they lost a close series.

Same things. Both teams disappointed.
