Lauzon is the guy to pick. Has had a bit of top 4 experience and he's still young

I think its honestly Debrusk cause he is one of those guys with so much untapped potential and rn Seattles dcore probs gonna be

Dillon-Demelo
Siemek-Subban (I got some strange feeling Subban gets taken, deal is only 1 year, Seattles gm was on his podcast, and could you imagine Subban coming up on stage and announcing all the other names and promoting Seattle on his channel)

Just terrible D-core, absolutely 0 offense. I think they're picking Shattenkirk to provide some

why pick shattenkirk when Henrique is available. In general not many offensive dman available unless you go to FA. I could see Barrie going. Seattle wont be competitive year one and with Graves and Leddy being moved that dcore went from potential greatness to k who else is available.

I don't see what people see in Graves, I honestly believe he's overrated, dude's not even playing 20 minutes a game and he's playing on an elite team and is a part of an elite d-core.

Apart from your standard number 4 guy, Graves isn't anything special in my eyes

I love how the fact that people are saying on the Heiskanen signing thing that it's too much. When was the last time a defensemen led his team to the Stanley cup finals at age 20? On top of the fact that Dallas wasn't even a contender.

Miro Heiskanen is now the second most paid left-shot defenseman in the league.

1- Roman Josi $9,059,000 (NSH)
2- Miro Heiskanen $8,450,000 (DAL)
3- Oliver Ekman-Larsson $8,250,000 (ARI)
4- Thomas Chabot $8,000,000 (OTT)
5- Victor Hedman $7,875,000 (TBL)
6- Marc-Édouard Vlasic $7,000,000 (SJS)

it's probably a slight overpay right now, but I'm sure he'll provide excess value by the end of his contract.

So Driedger to Seattle. Good news for Florida, who wasn’t going to bring him back anyways.

It makes a tonne of sense for the Kraken. Assuming they don’t trade Allen, an Allen-Driedger tandem would be really good, and cost-effective.

Do you guys believe Alec Martinez would be a good fit in Winnipeg?

I personally believe a top pairing of Morrissey-Martinez would be a very strong one

Needs to be a right handed and very experienced but looks like Adam Larsson rumors are getting louder cause it's getting close.

He's accomplished more than any other dman at his age. He's literally put in the worst situations because he's very well trusted. Being a 20 year old and being very well trusted by none other than Rick Bowness is more of an accomplishment than Makar, Hughes and Dahlin will ever get. Put any of them with Comeau, Cogliano, Faksa and Oleksiak and make them play Rick Bowness's style of hockey and I guarantee you that there would be a massive difference in their play, and not a good one.

Its funny how people are comparing Heiskanen's deal to Marner. Marner is a forward and signed before the Pandemic when gm's thought the cap was going up while Heiskanen was signed in the flat cap era. You cant really compare how much forwards make to Dman as there is little similarity lul.

Honestly leaf haters have to much time on their hands.

Like I think its day 700 of Marner trending for no reason. Kid should honestly go heel on all the fans get 100 points next season, do better in the playoffs, win a round and go fans doubted me "WHERE YOU AT NOW"

GIVE ME HEEL MARNER now that would be a change leaf fans would **** themselves over

I don't want to be that guy, but Heiskanen had more playoff points last year than Marner has career playoff points, and he's a defensemen, and he's stuck with Blake Comeau not Auston Matthews (there's a pretty significant difference of goal scoring abilities).

if the leafs get past round 1 I have a feeling Marner would be putting up points like crazy. I feel he is one of those guys who once he gets more and more games in the points just start coming.

Yeah, but maybe Marner not having crazy points and the Leafs not making it past the first round has some sort of correlation…
