I have hopes for him. Has had flashes of being great heck had a 60 save shutout in the AHL. Issue is his style reminds me a lot of Bishop

McCann, Dunn, domi , voracek, eberle. Seattle is going to have a solid team.

My prediction is most of these guys are taken then flipped for assets if the goalie idea does not work specifically (McCann and Eberle, maybe even Domi)

Somehow I see Toronto getting McCann via Seattle. Its just this weird feeling that Dubas and Armstrong already have some kind of deal in place that also involves Hyman.

Eberle to LA?

One name that I'm surprised is not on this list Tarasenko. They can fit him in, reduce his mins to keep him healthy, and would have cap space to stay competitive even after adding that cap hit for years

Probably isn't willing to waive his NTC

Pretty much what I expected. I would’ve preferred a bridge deal with a little less money, but it is what it is. The only problem with this is that it limits out activities in FA.

I think that the thing Wings fans have been telling us for like 2 years now (we're not trading for anything unless you pay us to do it) can be thrown in the garbage. Their own GM contradict their words

Was looking into it, its ironic every team he wants to go to cant afford that cap hit. Except Boston but why would they want an injury prone guy like him

Doesn't look like Foligno is staying in Toronto. Columbus and Minnesota are potential Landing spots - Elliotte Friedman

Domi is going to break out in Seattle like Karlsson did in Vegas

He changed that to "maybe not staying" the next day super confusing lul.

I think he signs a 1 year deal in Toronto cause Minnesota basically has to go all in next year and has enough guys like him and will want to get big names. Plus getting more opportunities to play with Matthews and Marner does not hurt does it wink

CBJ maybe, but I think Foligno wants to compete and rn they look like they are in between rebuilding and competing.

People on the Friedman tweet confirming the contract are already saying it's an «overpay» and that he's «overrated»

Sure, to d*mb*sses who only look for the offensive numbers it's an overpay but the dude is already a top 15 d-man (arguably top 10) d-man in the league and will only get better

I can't see the downside in this for Dallas, awesome news for the team and its fans

With the Miro deal it really screws the Avs over because now Makar will likely want 9+. Smart move by Nill, pissing off the competition even before the season started.

I’d assume that was going to happen anyways. Especially on an 8 year term.

To all those ****es, the reason he didn’t have the offensive numbers as Makar is because he isn’t stuck to Mackinnon’s ass like him. Heiskanen is stuck with Comeau, Cogliano, Faksa and Oleksiak, while being asked by our coach to play a big defensive role and not play the offence. Heiskanen is more trusted than Makar and that’s a fact, if he wouldn’t be than why is Makar playing 99/100 of his ice time with Landeskog, Mackinnon and Rantanen? He’s sheltered while Heiskanen is the one carrying all of our pieces, on top of the fact of that he literally carried our team to the finals in those circumstances while Makar didn’t even make it past the second round with arguably the best player in the world.
