Maybe, my reasoning was: Karlsonn's offensive numbers haven't been as bad as you might think, and he can play in his own zone fine. Labanc is already a really good top 6 winger at the age of 25, and has time to improve more. Balcers is a decent, young, depth scorer, although is nothing special and then you also get Barbanov who is also still young and had a good season. Winnipeg gives up a possibly, but no certain future top 6 center and a top 4 prospect. I can see the value for Winnipeg after a dissapointg season, although I can also see why they might not give up prospects.

As is Wild salary cap can not afford that kind of a trade. Also pateryn is a FA. Hertl is cheap now but what does his next contract look like? Also for wild to take any money in it will require almost equal money out.

I could see overpaying for Blake and BG short term

But with all the bad $ on their books already wow 😳

Even compartmentalized as you did here it's still 😬

Thats gonna be a hard pass from Calgary, Couture is a good player but he is no where near worth that with his contract

Also Q. Hughes cant be offersheeted

Quinn can be offersheeted. Check the CF website, thats what it says, unless I'm confused. Idk.

No,Evander Kane is not worth that,if the Kings are trading their draft picks they would be looking for a young player who'll stay with the team for a long time.

He is a 10.2C player, Quinn is under 22 and only played 2 professional seasons before his contract ended. He cant legally sign an offersheet.

That is terrible for Calgary wouldn’t even trade one of those pieces for that, they can’t afford to take on coutures cap they need to re-sign gaudreau, tkachuk and mangipane is 1 year so they can’t take on 8 mil

Karlsson is playing well, he doesn't have any forwards helping him out. Winnipeg has a solid Top 6, he can thrive there. San Jose declines this though, there's 0 chance we retain that much for that long. We aren't even trying to rebuild anyway, per Doug Wilson

Um, Tomas H doesn't have this much value. A player like Tomas isn't worth a top 4d, much less two top prospects

In addition Greg Pateryn is a free agent, & was traded by wild because of character problems in addition to wild coaches wanting to rid of him on team. He was also re-traded by Colorado

I can't see Karlsson waiving his NMC for Winnipeg. If he was available on the trade market there would be other teams interested and he could force the Sharks to trade him somewhere else. Also, I couldn't see the Sharks (or any team really) retaining $5.5 million for six years.

The Jets have sufficient depth at forward so they wouldn't be trading for Balcers, Barbanov and Labanc.

Like I said jets aren’t moving their two best prospects for ek65 anyway who isn’t the same player anymore

He's 40 when his contract ends at that point he has probably regressed to a 3rd pair guy and im not taking a risk with his contract.

No chance Winnipeg moves even one of Perfetti or Heinola in deal for Karlsson and no chance Karlsson waives to go to Winnipeg.

Why would he? Leave sunny California for Winnipeg. Not likely.

If we are rebuilding, why would he want to stay when he can go to a team that has a better chance at a cup?

Okay, so well say he will leave then. Winnipeg still would not move Perfetti and Heinola for a 31 year old defenseman with serious injury issues.
