You're only gonna get one of Turcotte or 10th overall for Sergachev. He is a great defenseman, but he'd have to be better if you were looking to fetch that much for him.

Someone else that was an LA fan made me this offer, so I got this from them. Plus, Sergachev is so young and has untapped potential

That's an absolutely BRILLIANT trade for Mikhail Sergachev. Whoever suggested it first is a genius.

Well if LA fans agree with it then Tampa should take that and run.

As a Kings fan, I'd do it. I'd even throw in Sean Walker.

Unrealistic. You forgot to put Kutcherov and Hedman on LTIR. Also Tampa signs Ovechkin to 6mil per year for 2 years. They also sign Hamilton to another team friendly contract.
Then Kutcherov and Hedman return for the playoffs.
Oh you guys also sign Jones and Martinez to league minimum. And trade all your 2022 picks for Eichel. Don't worry he's also on LTIR for that neck surgery until the playoffs. grin

Devils decline. Wood is younger and more important to the team.

    The LA trade is interesting

Yes I is ridiculous that Tampa was allowed to circumvent the cap and when other teams (Toronto and Montreal) started doing it at the deadline they got warning that there would be an investigation if their players returned conveniently for the playoffs. They are over the cap by 19 Million that means they should have to play without 2 of Stamkos, Kucherov, Headman or Vasilevsky in order to be cap compliant. How far do you think they could have gotten without any 2 of those Guys? I bet they couldn't make it out of the first round!

The LA trade = Decline w/ counter proposal
Sergy is great. Would definitely improve the Kings defense core without giving away any roster players.

Turcotte - I wouldn't want to give him away without seeing him play in the NHL. It's hard to rate his value without playing a single NHL Games.

2021 1st - If the Kings are not rushing to become contenders then I'd rather keep the 2021 1st as we can select a great D-man.

Here is my proposal. What do you think

    Tampa Offers:
    - Sergachev

    Los Angeles Offers
    - Sean Walker
    - Tobias Bjornfot
    - Tyler Madden
    - 2021 2nd Round Pick
    - 2022 2nd Round Pick

Can not see LA trade 8th overall pick and a top prospect, when they could draft a high quality winger or defenseman.

That pretty much destroys Wings deal. Plus. Why would betuzzi sign for less than he got this year. Also believe after this year he is a UFA.

Montreal didn't even put anyone on LTIR until a few weeks past trade deadline. They did not attempt to go over the cap.
Maybe Toronto had a thought to do so, but I don't follow Toronto.

As for Tampa bay yes; If Kucherov is not even a member of the Tampa bay lightning, they are still a top tier team. More skill than Toronto, more speed, one of the best goaltenders and defense cores in the league. If kucherov wasn't on the ice, someone else would of been and I would think it's very likely that they would still be in the Stanley cup finals. The games would of played out differently but they'd still be in the finals.

Tampa is leagues ahead of any other team when it comes to depth, talent, speed, scoring and defense.
Not even Colorado comes close to them.

Without Kucherov listed on their roster; they would still be the top contender in the league

You missed the point it's NOT JUST Kutcherov they would have to play with out TWO of Kutcherov, Stamkos, Vasilevsky or Headman to be under the cap. 19 Million not 9 Million.

Gallagher was on LTIR at the deadline I believe and Byron was waived but it wasn't just Toronto (maybe not Montreal so much) but other teams too tried to do it and the league warned them about the timing yet NOTHING was said about Tampa. As far as this cup goes IMO Tampa BOUGHT the cup they didn't earn it this year.

Detroit would prefer a high end center prospect in any Bertuzzi trade but I think Yzerman would take that offer. Adding a top 10 pick this year fits better with our rebuild then Bertuzzi does.
