All well thought out and fair. Maybe only the COL one doesn't make sense

Owen Power said he is not going to start the 2021-22 season in the NHL and needs another year in Michigan. Other than that, for a rebuilding team, I would keep Reinhart unless he physically asks for a trade, and that Oilers trade is killer good for either side since the Oilers can go after another goalie in FA with more cap space and the Sabres get a decent goalie and a veteran. Only thing I don't get is how Jeff Skinner wasn't bought out.

Can you people please F off with the Drouin trades. He’s not going anywhere. If he ends up playing to start next year he’s not getting traded. If he still needs time and doesn’t play to start next year, he’s still not getting traded.

Also Ristolainen is terrible, and no sane person would want to acquire him.

I don't see a world where Reinhart gets 8oa AND a piece like Vilardi. And teams don't attach pieces like that to dump contracts like those.

No way LA does that trade for in effect one year of Reinhart. Oiler will keep their picks and keep Koshiken for a year and Neal maybe for two.

It makes 0 sense to buyout Jeff Skinner he played well with new coach and sabres will not be in cap crunch if they trade jack and sam.

Reinhart is 2nd overall pick and produce at point per game center with new coach on a bad team. In weak draft he is worth more then 8th overall. as for oiler trade look at Marleau trade it cost leaf first for one year. it is more then fair trade.

For Col trade i Just thought they would be losing one of their forwards with expansion draft and have Byum ready to step up so thought it would be good swap. Sabres need Dman and have alot of young forwards so could afford a swap.

So if Reinhart signs long term Kings....what do you think his salary will be. 7m? Kings can sign a very good UFA for 7m and keep their young centre Vilardi and that high draft pick.

Are you saying a rebuilding team with like $10M in cap space should not be trading the 8th overall and a high-ranking prospect graduate for an ELC for an unsigned RFA?

Between 7-8 and what players do you think kings could get. Look at the Free agents no one is at same level as sam and if they are they are most likely going to resign or go to contender. They are also alot older and would not fit the core of the kings. Sam could be number one center for kings until Byfilied and Turrcotte are ready then could play RW.

The Kings have two better center prospects and could afford to lose one and this is a weak draft. Getting top line player that fits the core will help keep from forcing the young players in roles they are not ready for. You have to give a little to get top line players.

Kings are not necessarily in a win mode next season. Certainly they don't have to spend that 7 to 8m this season. Gee for 2m more the King could sign Hamilton and keep those young assets.

This is more than LA has to give for what Reinhart is. Reinhart does not have this value.

They could easily do both with this trade even if Sam signs for 8 mil then they would have 12 million for RFA/UFA. They could easily sign Hamilton to 9 mil.

The Kings have Vilardi slotted in as #2C, Byfield as #3C, Turcotte isn't ready. If the Kings moved Vilardi to the Sabres you have him playing similar minutes on the second line, not sure how he's not ready for second line minutes when that is where you have him slotted. The Kings can keep Vilardi and use their cap space as a stop-gap until their players are ready.

The only reason they would move Graves is because he is likely to be taken and they can't protect him. If they think SEA will take one of their F's they will just keep him and life is good. They don't have a spot to protect a F either and Graves is the more valuable player.

If you want to move a non protected asset for Graves that could make sense but VO likely does not

Not being sure what Sam wants is why the Kings would be negotiating from weakness if they made this trade. If you signed him for 6Mx7, then I make this trade. But if he wants $7M just to take him to free agency, this trade would be a disaster.

I don't know that edmonton will trade this year's first round pick. I think next year or like 2 seconds and a 3rd are more likely.

Kings acquired 5.4m Arvidsson who under contract for three years for 40th overall and third rounder. Doesn't it show that Vilardi and the 8th overall is a massive overpayment for Reichel.

Considering that they were going to lose him for nothing in the expansion draft I believe it shows that Reinhart deal is fair value.

Highly unlikely that the Preds would have left him exposed.

I didn't say I don't like trading Eichel. I only don't like the Reinhart trade. The Eichel trade is very similar in my opinion to the Karlsson trade in Ottawa that turned out very well and they get tremendous value for Eichel to Minnesota. Plus I didn't realize Skinner's play improved since Don Granato took over
