Keith is a fine Dman...but not when we need RD guys not LD...Keith will eat up the spot on the 3rd pairing as he is too small to play with Pionk (both are 6') as we need a bigger guy to play with him

Jets giving up Lowry to Seattle is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've seen so far

Stanley for Keith wouldn’t be too far off from a value perspective. I can’t see any team acquiring Keith at $5M plus though, including the Jets. Salary retention or taking a bad contract is likely a given if Chicago is getting an asset.

The rest of that Chi trade is unlikely. No way Chic burns a retention spot for $300k or parts with a goalie prospect.

The Lowry loss to Seattle would really hurt... not sure who is available in UFA not named Danault who would replace a very strong 3C who can play tough minutes against the best lines in the NHL... I guess those guys grow on trees now

Zero chance Prefetti plays on the 4th line. Would be a waste of his talents. He needs top 9 minutes, preferably against the other team’s bottom 6. I can’t see any scenario where he play on the 3rd or 4th line under Maurice next year. He’s not strong enough to play hard minutes against top lines, he’s admitted he needs to gain strength. World Championships was a great experience for him, but he rode the pine in the medal rounds.

Paying $7M for Stastny and Getz might be reasonable, but not to be 4th line forwards. I’d rather have the top 2 lines play 18-20 mins than roll the 4th line 13-15 mins. Ehlers needs to play more, not less.
