Offseason from the gates of hell

Created by: Chuck_Fletchers_IQ
Team: 2021-22 Buffalo Sabres
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 10, 2021
Published: Jul. 10, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This team sucks and no one wants to be here get rid of the guys who are vocal about it keep the guys you think you can still manage. Not getting anyone in FA after this season really so the players you bring in have to be from trades. Draft picks should be more heavy in the 2022 draft since its more stacked and taking on bad contracts could benefit the sabres.

    2.
    BUF
    1. Buchnevich, Pavel [RFA Rights]
    2. Chytil, Filip [RFA Rights]
    3. Deangelo, Anthony
    4. Lundkvist, Nils
    5. Schneider, Braden
    6. Strome, Ryan
    7. 2021 1st round pick (NYR)
    8. 2022 1st round pick (NYR)
    NYR
    1. Eichel, Jack
    Additional Details:
People don’t realize how good jack is and how high his ceiling is. You want a franchise center your gonna need to pay a lot. I used sakics formula when he traded Matt duchene to Ottawa which is getting roster players for right now prospects and drafts picks for later. I’m just saying if seen people trade eichel for less than what duchene got traded for in ottawa. Also took on the last year of deangelos contract assuming they don’t buy him out
    3.
    BUF
    NYR
If strome doesn’t work out here than you can always flip him for something at the deadline
      4.
      BUF
      1. Wisdom, Zayde
      2. Zamula, Yegor
      3. 2022 2nd round pick (PHI)
      Additional Details:
Philly is desperate and wants to win now so sending a couple prospects and a second to get a player is probably accurate.
      PHI
      1. Miller, Colin ($1,700,000 retained)
      Additional Details:
Philly is probably gonna have to send their RD Myers out for jones so if they need a 2nd or 3rd pairing RD Miller would seem like a good option
      5.
      BUF
Wisdom and zamula are projected to be fringe NHL’ers at most and they’re also another year or two from being that
        PHI
        6.
        BUF
        1. Donato, Ryan [RFA Rights]
        2. 2021 1st round pick (SJS)
        3. 2022 1st round pick (SJS)
        SJS
        1. Reinhart, Sam
        Additional Details:
No disrespect Reinhearts is gonna be and is a great player but I can see the sharks being stupid with thinking they’re one player away when they need to rebuild but I can see them sending this unfortunately
        7.
        BUF
        1. 2021 6th round pick (ARI)
        2. 2022 7th round pick (ARI)
        Additional Details:
The worst player in the league making more than 2 mil.
        ARI
        1. Eakin, Cody
        2. 2022 3rd round pick (BUF)
        8.
        BUF
        1. 2021 4th round pick (CGY)
        2. 2022 2nd round pick (LAK)
        3. 2022 3rd round pick (PIT)
        LAK
        1. Ristolainen, Rasmus
        Additional Details:
Maybe LA is super aggressive and wants to challenge for a playoff spot. Ristolainen is overrated but maybe LA is that hungry to be competitive they’ll overlook his bad stats.
        9.
        BUF
        1. Eriksson, Loui
        2. 2022 1st round pick (VAN)
        Additional Details:
Buffalo uses its greatest weapon which is cap space. Taking on the last year of loui no retention could net them a first pick in a stacked 2022 draft
        10.
        BUF
Signing Goligoski in FA is good so he can mentor and teach the young d core even if it means overpaying. Nobody wants to go to Buffalo

          ====

So you want all the pieces that were used to acquire Duchene and Turris?

From Nashville was for Turris, from Ottawa was for Duchene.

          From OTT:
          Andrew Hammond · $325,000 (AHL/JR)
Shane Bowers · $0 (Signing Rights)
          2019 conditional 1st round pick* (OTT - #4 - Bowen Byram)
          2019 3rd round pick (OTT - #63 - Matthew Stienburg)

          Edit: And of course Turris

Edit 2: You added Strome as Turris, and then added the pieces they got for Turris. You added Turris value twice

Sj has learned it's lesson about trading 1sts. Reinhart is not worth two potential top 10 picks. Not close sir.

Why the hell would we empty our cupboards for Eichel who’s damaged right now? Let’s see him frickin get back to being healthy before trading him. He’s not worth all that, NO ONE is. At that point just go find a chump out west to do this crap with, beyond ridiculous.

Except Eichel isn't (with him basically admitting he wants out and his injury) worth 50% of this package at the moment (Sabres wanted the equivalent of 4 firsts and I doubt they get the equivalent of 3 at the moment) so huuuuuuuge no thx by Rangers

The equivalent of 7 first round picks sounds about right for Eichel. Jesus Christ what is this

you could easily argue that Strome + Buch+ Lundkvist are worth 4 1sts combined so you have like 8 here.

It'll end up being Strome+Lundvkist+Jones+1st and maybe georgiev too. Anything more just isn't worth it for the rangers
