Derek Ryan is their 3C and is going to light it up! Like how Turris was going to light it up last year.
Pretty sure McLeod will start as the 3C and Ryan the 4C. But if (when) Holloway makes the roster it gives Tippett the option of running Nuge at 3C and Holloway at 2LW or vice-versa.

No need for Kerfoot.
All the depth will score exactly like they did last year. Not at all.

I mean you could just say that because, or you could look at the fact that Foegele and Ryan score at higher rates than any Edmonton bottom 6ers from last season, and Benson/Holloway/McLeod combinations inject a lot more scoring potential than Nygard/Haas/Khaira. Obviously Kerfoot would score more than McLeod or Ryan. He also costs more than a million more than them combined. So that's why it's a bad idea for the Oil priority wise.

Literally the same thing you guys said about all the additions you made last season that never panned out.

I mean Kahun and Turris were offence only bets for the bottom 6 that didn't make a ton of sense mix wise (although Kahun essentially had to be top 6 in over his head, so Hyman is replacing his spot). Foegele and Ryan are competent defensive players even when they aren't scoring a ton. So no, these are objectively way better adds for a bottom 6, at low cap cost. Again, the Oil have no need to add a 3.5 mil 3C to this roster. If they can find any cap to spend, goalie is the only position that matters and is a big potential problem.

Have you looked at your defence? An aging Kieth, no defence Barrie, absolute AHLer Ceci, and a broken Klefbom to help the most overpaid defenceman in the league. Holland has taken the dumpster fire Chiarelli left you and added gasoline to it.

Could be better, especially as far as where money is spent. Klef being out though, had to lock up Nurse. He's still on a bargain deal next year though. Also, Keith is better than Jones in that slot, and Bouch is likely to be better than Bear. Keeping Larsson would have been nice, but hard to control an FA walking sometimes. Remember, Ceci did fine once he was finally out of Toronto and being overplayed in Ottawa. If he replicates last season in Pit, all good with me. Sorry Barrie played so badly for Toronto, but while defense is not his strong suit, just remember be actually produced and liked playing in Edmonton last season, unlike in Toronto.
